ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL DHAI PHASE I
I would like to warmly welcome you to the family of
APS. Education is a necessity of today’s highly
competitive world & schooling plays the role of a
foundation for every child. If the foundation is solid,
the child will be groomed to a useful & responsible
member of the society.
Therefore, we try to give our students an education balancing
academic leadership, character building, self discovery & spiritual
welfare. The APS DHAI Phase 1 is well equipped with latest
technology to fasten today’s widening intellectual pursuits,
maintaining the interactions with the parents, so that we can prepare
today’s student for tomorrow’s world. As educationist, it is our job to
cultivate the soil in the garden of knowledge caring for our little
seedlings day to day.

Message By The Principal
Welcome To APS DHAI PHASE 1
Army Public School (APS) is located in
Sector B, Phase 1, DHA Islamabad. The
school enrolls students from Play Group
to Grade X and is a part of APSACS. The
APSACS because of its quality education
has earned enviable status and
reputation among the institutions of its
kind in Pakistan. It follows policies and
guidelines given in National Education
Policy and directives issued by APSACS
in letter and spirit. Due emphasis is laid
on character building and personality
development of the children.
Vision: “To be an exemplary educational
institution which is future oriented,
responsive to change and teaches students
strive for the highest possible
achievement.”
Mission: “To develop young students with
active and creative minds, a sense of
understanding and compassion for others,
and the courage to act on their beliefs. We
stress the holistic development of each
child’s spiritual, moral, intellectual, social,
emotional and physical growth to provide
them safe, caring environment where
psychiatric, educational and social
challenges can best develop the skill and
character necessary to rejoin the society.”

School Vitals
Admission to all classes shall be granted on the
basis of eligibility and merit through entrance
test normally carried out in February/March each
year depending on availability of seats.
The results shall be approved by the Executive
Committee/Principal. In case of transfer from
another APS, policy of APSACS shall be observed.
Application for admission on prescribed form
attached at the end of prospectus must be
submitted to the institution on due dates.

The institution demands a high order of punctuality & regularity from its students.
Students must reach school at least 5 minutes before the morning
assembly. Students coming after school timings will not be allowed
to enter the school.
Leave application must be submitted in writing before morning
assembly, if the student has to be absent.
Absence without intimation for a period of more than one week
will render a student liable to withdrawal/expulsion from the
institution.
Failure to submit application for leave will render a student to fine of Rs. 50/- per day.
Students suffering from contagious diseases are not
permitted to attend the institution.
The institution is no way responsible / accountable for loss of
books, equipments, money or any other valuables lost by the
students.
Students are not allowed to see visitors in the institution.
No students can invite any outsider in the school without
prior permission of the Principal.
Consent of the parents for excursion or educational trips arranged by the school is asked
in writing. The school takes no responsibility for any damage/mishap during such trips.
No sectarian or political functions are permitted to be held by the students in the school
premises.
School reserves the right to transfer the child to any other campus of DHAI at any time. School/DHA authorities have the rights to take action against Parents/ Guardians for their misconduct.

Discipline & Conduct
Following offences can render a student
liable to disciplinary action as deemed
appropriate by the Discipline Committee
Indiscipline, cheating, stealing or immoral conduct.
Breaking Institution’s bounds.
Rudeness to staff.
Keeping firearms and other lethal weapons.
Willfully damaging Institution’s property.
Being habitually untidy, unpunctual and neglecting Institution’s order.
Showing consistently poor performance in academics.
Leaving Institution’s premises without prior permission.
Smoking and using narcotics.
Any other offence deemed to be serious enough by the Institution’s Discipline Committee.

APS DHAI Phase 1 has been accredited as
International School by British Council.

As our school students safety, health and well
being is of prime importance for all members of
the school. Therefore, school maintains a proper
‘Sick Room’ under trained Nursing Staff. First aid
facilities are available at the ‘Sick Room’.
The school has a fairly well stocked and well
equipped library to provide a wide range of
books and resources supporting learning
throughout the key stages and foster a reading
and informative culture that promotes
independent, motivated readers and learners.
Physical education instills a strong sense of team work, self worth, discipline and flexibility among students. Therefore, adequate arrangements for varied physical activities for all age groups have been made in school. The school is well equipped with sport items to prepare the students under the guidance of trained female DPE and male PTI to meet the fitness challenges.

Laboratory is an important mean of instruction in science because it provides training and arouses pupil’s interests. The school has well equipped & well furnished Science & Computer Labs for Pre, Junior, Middle & High School. The Science lab helps in hand-on and project based activities for the students to create better teaching and enriched learning, to face the challenges of present Era.
The prime responsibility of a
school is to ensure safe & secure
environment for students.APS
DHAI Phase 1 has taken solid
security plan. These including
fencing around school building,
installation of CCTV cameras,
armed security guards, parking of
vehicles at some distance from the school and ensuring the students drill within
the premises of the school.
Light refreshments along with snacks and other eatables are available in the tuck
shop at reasonable prices.
