Prospects of Self Employment - A KP appraisal

This case is a case from my file of records. A doctor asked me to know, if it would be good for her to start a clinic of her own as a changeover from the salaried job, which she was doing at that point of time. Thus, the question was regarding the self-employment.

I did not take any horary number from her and instead considered the time chart to indicate the prashna query. The time chart was worked out on March 09, 2010 at 11-56-45 Hrs IST at Bangalore.

Readers may note that this case is being examined by conventional KP, LSPs (Introduced in JASA-Inaugural Issue - July 2011) and BTSP principles (Introduced in JASA - Jan 2014). This effort is to demonstrate the compatibility of various principles emerging into a unified inference.

Co-ordinates of judgment:

In a query relating to the professional success in self-employment (Business) than the Service, the 7th house gets prominent, as this house provides the prospects of self-employment. In case, if the 6th house gets connected to the 7th house, the natives do their karma with diligence. The 3rd house indicates the initiative that the native takes in setting up his own venture. The 10th house has its own importance, as it decides the flow of karmas.

Finally, the dasha sequence plays finally decisive role and for the positive results, the dasha planets should be well disposed towards fructification with favorable transits.

Looking to the LSPs for opinion, Punya LSP, Asha LSP, Karma LSP, Karya-Siddhi LSP and Labha LSP may be examined. Similarly, BTSP of Lagna, 2nd house, 4th house, 5th house, 7th house, 9th

house, 10th house and 11th house may be examined.

The Query:

Fundamentally, in any prashna, the lagna indicates the subject matter of the query, while the Moon indicates the status of mind and the matter on which the querist dwells about.

Lagna sub-lord is Mars, which is also the sub-lord of 7th cusp placed in 2nd house. Thus, the proposal of self-employment seems promised with good returns (2nd house). Moon gets placed

in 7th house itself that shows the scenario of self-employment.

Thus, the query is well indicated in the prashna chart and it was comfortable to proceed further.

Part-A: Analysis by KP conventional principles

1. Examine the 7th cusp.

Examine the 7th cusp to see the potential of self-employment.

7th cuspal sub-lord is Mars, which is a strong planet as there is no planet in its star, thus its placement is important to study. Note that Mars is placed in the 2nd house in conjunction with the Ketu

(sub-lord of 11th cusp), denoting the self-employment with the strong possibility good earnings (2nd house). Debilitated Mars in retrogression is also in strong disposition by the planetary avastha.

At the stellar level, Mars falls in the star of Saturn and in the sub of Mercury placed in 10 th

house. Thus, 7th cuspal sub-lord Mars is expected to promote the native to venture the self employment.

2. Examine the 10th house

10th cuspal sub-lord is strong lagna lord and 6th lord Venus that falls in the star of Saturn in 4th house and in the sub of Venus placed in 10th house. This indicates a good reason for the native to be successful in the proposed venture of self-employment.

3. Examine the 11th cusp.

By the examination of the various cusps so far, the results were expected very positive.

11th cuspal sub-lord is Ketu, which falls in the star of Jupiter placed in 10 th house close to the 10th cusp. This was a good indication. Ketu is placed in the sub of Mercury (strong lord of 5th house) placed in 10th house.

It may be noted that the 11th cuspal sub-lord links itself to the 10th house by way of both the star lord and sub-lord. This was considered very positive and it was inferred that the venture of the native towards self employment is well promised.

4. Examine Dasha sequence

At the time of query, the dasha of Ketu-Mercury-Rahu was operating till March 18, 2011.

Ketu and Mercury have been found good in the forgoing analysis. Briefly examining, the next pratyantara was that of Jupiter from March 18, 2011 to May 06, 2011 and that of Saturn till July 01, 2010.

Jupiter is the strong 11th lord and was placed close to 10th cusp in 10th house. On a quick overview, it was found that Jupiter falls in the sub of Sun placed in the 10 th house, the Jupiter was considered a favorable period to start off the venture of self employment.

Saturn is the lord of 9th and 10th house, falls in the sub of Venus placed in 10th house. Thus, the Saturn pratyantara was also favorable to the native.

Part-B: Analysis by LSP principles

Refer my article in the Inaugural Issue of JASA of July-2011, wherein the principles of Life Sensitive Points (LSPs) have been given to the astrological world.

Calculate Punya LSP (P-LSP) to assess the luck

Due to the prashna assessment in day hours, the Punya LSP is calculated by the formula (Moon – Sun + Lagna). Additional 30deg is not required to be added as the Lagna falls between Sun to Moon. By the manipulation of the longitudes, the Punya LSP falls in Pisces 11-54-55 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord Jupiter, Star lord Saturn, Sub-lord Moon and Sub-sub lord Venus

Note the following.

a. P-LSP gets placed in the 10th house, thus it promotes the query of self-employment.b. P-LSP falls in the star of Saturn and in the sub of 3rd lord Moon placed in the 7th house.

This promotes the efforts of self-employment of the native.

Thus, the native carries with her sufficient luck to start and prosper the venture of self-employment.

Calculate Asha LSP (A-LSP) to check the desire quotient

Due to the prashna assessment in day hours, the Asha LSP is calculated by the formula (Saturn - Mars + Lagna). Additional 30deg is required to be added as the Lagna does not

fall between Mars to Saturn. By the manipulation of the longitudes, the Asha LSP falls in Leo 25-48-32 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord Sun, Star lord Venus, Sub-lord Mercury and Sub-sub lord Saturn.

Note the following

a. A-LSP gets placed in 4th house in the sign of Leo, whose lord Sun is placed in 10 th house. It is expected that the native searches the peace of mind and happiness (4 th house) through profession (10H).

b. A-LSP falls in the star of Venus that encompass Lagna, thus the native might be seeking self respect. The sub-lord of A-LSP is Mercury that is placed in 10 th house. Note that Sub-lord Mercury has positional strength and is very strongly placed in 10th house.

Thus, the native’s desire meets his ends of seeking a good opportunity of self-employment.

Calculate Karma LSP (K-LSP) to check the potential of work

Due to the prashna assessment in day hours, the Karma LSP is calculated by the formula (Mars - Mercury + Lagna). Additional 30deg is not required to be added as the Lagna falls between Mercury to Mars. By the manipulation of the longitudes, the Karma LSP falls in Libra 10-21-48 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord Venus, Star lord Rahu, Sub-lord Jupiter and Sub-sub lord Rahu.

Note as follows

a. K-LSP falls in 5th house, a sign of balance and in the sign of natural business. The 5th

house has the potential to raise the native above average and impart her high degree of creativity, power and position.

b. K-LSP has star lord of Rahu that disposes Jupiter placed in 10th house close to 10th cusp setting the flavor of native’s desire positively. Notably, the sub-lord of K-LSP is Jupiter itself that gives her a clean chit to get the pride and respect in the venture of self-employment.

Thus, the native has the high potential of success in self-employment and is expected to draw high respect and position in doing so. Calculate Karya-Siddhi LSP (KS-LSP) to check the luck of success in work

Due to the prashna assessment in day hours, the Karya-Siddhi LSP is calculated by the formula (Saturn - Sun + Lord of Sun sign), thereby meaning (Saturn – Sun +Saturn), thereby meaning (2xSaturn – Sun). Additional 30deg is not required to be added as the Lagna falls between Sun to Saturn. By the manipulation of the longitudes, the Karya-Siddhi LSP falls in Pisces 22-04-30 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord Jupiter, Star lord Mercury, Sub-lord Sun and Sub-sub lord Ketu.

Note as follows

a. KS-LSP gets placed in 11th house in the sign of Jupiter and as discussed above, it not only gets monetarily beneficial, it endows all the goodness of Jupiter and makes the self-employment a viable possibility.

b. Note that the KS-LSP falls in the star of Mercury in 10 th house, thus it heightens the flavor of professional excellence. Notably, Sun is the sub-lord of KS-LSP, which is a positionally strong planet placed in 10th house.

Thus, the native seems to meet all his required ends to pursue the excellent self-employment opportunity.

Calculate Labha LSP (L-LSP) to check the material gains

The Labha LSP is calculated by the formula (11th Cusp – 11th lord + Lagna), thereby meaning (11th Cusp – Jupiter + Lagna). Additional 30deg is required to be added as the Lagna does not fall between Jupiter to 11th Cusp. By the manipulation of the longitudes, the

Labha LSP falls in Cancer 24-33-39 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord Moon, Star lord Mercury, Sub-lord Rahu and Sub-sub lord Jupiter.

Note as follows.

a. L-LSP gets placed in 3rd house in the house of efforts lorded by Moon placed in 7th house of business and public domain.

b. Rahu is the sub-lord that is placed in 8th house, which is beneficial in business as 8th

house is the 2nd from 7th house and indicates the funds of the public. Since, Rahu disposes Jupiter placed in 10th house, the others wealth (8th house) would get mobilized in her professional pursuit (10th house).

c. Readers may note that Rahu is placed in the sub and sub-sub of Mercury, which is the 2nd lord of the query chart. Thus, Rahu has direct bearing of extracting other’s wealth (8th house) and deliver to the native (2nd house).

Thus, the venture of self-employment is set to give high monetary gains to the native.

1. Readers may read my article on BTSP published in JASA-Jan 2014 and note that the Bhava tithi Sensitive points of the houses control all that is contained in the house, its interaction with the various areas of life in real terms and it unfolds karmas through Karna. This parameter brings to fore many hidden aspects of life interactively.

4. BTSP-Lagnaa. Lagna hold the personality, intelligence and drive of the native.b. BTSP-Lagna gets placed in 9th house and indicates that the native is seeking

lady luck in her life (9th house).c. Mercury is the sub-lord and its strong placement in 10th house allows the native

to do her best in profession (10th house).

d. Venus is the Karna lord that decides the karma to its best by having its placement in 10th house in the sign of Jupiter begetting respect in her adventure.

5. BTSP-2Ha. 2nd house indicate the earningsb. BTSP-2H gets placed in 6th house, causing a win-over on the public.c. Note that Mercury is its sub-lord as said above; it is excellent for earning well.d. Sun is the Karna lord that makes the native to manage the show with

6. BTSP-4Ha. 4th house seeks the happiness and mental peace. Perhaps mother’s support also.b. BTSP-4H is placed in Lagna in the house of Mercury in rapt conjunction with

c. Note that BTSP-4H is placed in 10th house from 4th house (Mother), thus it is likely that mother also works along with the native.

d. Saturn is the sub-lord and its placement in 4th house is expected to make the native distracted at times. Since, Saturn is strong 9th lord it does confer luck, perhaps after a few setbacks.

e. Jupiter is the Karna lord and as observed in pre-paras, it offers overall auspiciousness of the karmas done by the native due to its placement in the 10 th

house close to 10th house cusp.

7. BTSP-5Ha. 5th house indicates skill, creativity and the followers of the native.b. BTSP-5H gets placed in 11th house, showing the continuous flow of fortune to the

nativec. BTSP-5H is in rapt conjunction with the BTSP-10H, which is a strong Rajayoga

leading to the great time ahead.d. Ketu is the sub-lord as well as the Karna lord which is the sub-lord of the 11th

cusp as well. Thus, Ketu materializes the venture to completion and keeps it growing.

8. BTSP-7Ha. 7th house is the sign of business and public dealingb. BTSP-7H is placed in the 6th house in rapt conjunction with the BTSP-2H. This

makes the setting up of the venture to bear heavy expenditure to begin with.c. Mercury as its sub-lord bestows its auspiciousness, as discussed before.d. Sun is the Karna lord, showing the native’s attitude to be of strict administrative

nature.

9. BTSP-9Ha. 9th house brings in the element of luck and father’s support as well.b. Having been placed in Lagna, it brings in father’s support. BTSP-9H gets placed

in 5H from 9th house, hence the native to get futuristic support from her father.c. Mercury is the sub-lord that is placed in 10 th house, making father also to work

with her.d. Jupiter is the Karna lord and being placed in 10th house, it brings in

auspiciousness and authority in the venture.

10.BTSP-10Ha. 10th house shows actual karma put up by the native for professional

advancement.b. BTSP-10H conjuncts BTSP-5H in 11th house, having a great placement for overall

growth and creativity.c. BTSP-10H gets placed in 2nd house from 10th house, thereby supporting it and

conferring heavy monetary gains.d. Ketu is the sub-lord and Karna lord that coincides with the sub-lord of the 11 th

cusp. As discussed earlier, it is very positive for the venture of self-employment.

11.BTSP-11Ha. 11th house shows material gains beyond mere earnings.

b. BTSP-11H raptly conjuncts BTSP-Lag in the 9th house, both in 11th house from 11th house. This is an auspicious placement that confers luck in whatever is ventured.

c. Mercury is the sub-lord that is good for the earnings through work.

Inter-linkages

1. Note that Mercury is the sub-lord of BTSP-Lagna (Personal Intelligence), BTSP-2H (Financial earnings), BTSP-7H (Business), BTSP-9H (Luck) and BTSP-11H (Material gains), apart from being the sub-lord of 5th cusp (creativity) and A-LSP (Desire of the querist). Because of the placement of Mercury in 10th house as positionally strong planet, it confers a great Rajayoga.

2. Note that Ketu is the sub-lord of BTSP-5H (Creativity) and BTSP-10H (Karma) apart from being the sub-lord of 11th cusp (Overall fructification of the desire of the querist). Notably, Ketu is disposed in the sub of Mercury, thereby enveloped in the auspiciousness of Mercury again.

3. Note that the sub-lord of Punya-LSP (Moon), Karya Siddhi-LSP (Sun) and Labha-LSP (Rahu) are all disposed in the sub-lordship of Mercury, thereby enveloped in the auspiciousness of Mercury.

4. As observed, Mercury (the planet of Trade and Business) is the most auspicious planet due to its strong and positionally strong planet placed in 10th house (Greatest Kendra and a Simhasana Bhava).

Conclusion

Looking to all logistics of analysis by the conventional KP, LSP principles and the BTSP principles as above, the native was given a positive response towards the success and was asked to go ahead with the venture of setting up the clinic. It was also indicated that the period during March 18, 2011 to July 01, 2010 in the dasha sequence of Ketu-Mercury-Jupiter/Saturn was favorable.

Fact of the case:

Native started the own clinic in the last week of June 2010 and is earning well since then with a flagship of success, respect and honor to her credit.

------------------------------The KP principles are infallible and crystal clear, although, it requires genuine efforts for understanding and applying. Prof. Krishnamurthy has devised a pioneering predictive model in predictive astrology, which deserves sincere appreciation.

Readers may note that there are many diverse dimensions get in focus by LSP and BTSP principles and provide second opinion to the conclusions drawn by the conventional KP.
