Lighting – I want it to be fairly dim, with barely any light to create an eerie, creepy atmosphere, however I may make a contrast when creating the final part of my article and use high lighting instead of low lighting. Ideally I would like to use spotlights, but I am going to try and find a good substitute instead – torches if I have to. I want to make a striking picture, and am going to attempt to get a room completely in darkness, with just one light e.g. A torch trained on the focus point, perhaps even try to recreate a backlighting scene. Then I can decide later if I want it to be monotonous or in colour.

Microphone – I may use a fake one for my models to use, particularly my front model Karishma, who in the band I have made up, is meant to be the lead singer anyway.

Saxophone/piano/keyboard/guitar/drum kit – if any of my models or the music department will allow me, I would like to use these other instruments in my photoshoot to convey the musical taste and show the audience what they may be expecting in a track from these artists.

Smoke machine – I would love to try and include a smoke machine (or even just burning a match for a few minutes) and envelop my models in a mist of smoke, whilst playing their instruments with the spotlight on them. I think this would be amazing and very striking if I could get it right, especially if I can catch the smoke’s movements by the spotlights.

I want my models’ clothing to fit in with the

house colour scheme of black, white and dark

purple or dark green – I like how these secondary

colours go well together and I have yet to decide

which one I’m planning to use yet. I have asked

my model to bring any instrument they might

own, as well as having two sets of clothes: 1)

Casual clothes, things they feel comfortable in

for the article draft 2) Smart wear – I would like

them to dress up a bit, wearing suits and ties if

possible, a smart dress for Karishma, just to mix

it up for the pull out poster I intend to create.

Having this second set of costumes will hopefully

make mine stand out a little bit more than just

having casual costumes.
