To the Occupants Cycleway Concepts to Link Ngongotaha Cycleway to Skyline Mountain Bike Park
October 2016
Dear resident,
Thank you to those who have provided feedback previously on this link of the CyWay network and to those who attended our community consultation evening on 17 August 2016.
At the request of those who attended we have now developed two concepts for your consideration and ask again for you to submit feedback on which option you prefer.
We are planning a site walk on the evening of 9 November at 5:30pm, starting from the Waiwhero Stream Reserve. We invite all interested residents to come along and talk through the options with the CyWay team.
Please note, the section through the reserve is the same for both concepts. The changes for which we want you to consider a preferred option, is in the residential section of the Darroch Street and Barnard Road link.
Remember our goal is to make this link a desirable cycle route for families and new users (those not confident biking on a road). Therefore, it is important the option chosen promotes/ creates a quieter residential street environment where new users feel safe enough to ride on the road.
What do you think? He aha ō whakaaro?
We invite you to consider the proposed concepts and provide feedback to Council by 9 November 2016.
See over the page for the options we want feedback on.
Submit your feedback to cyway.nz/feedback or email [email protected] For further information please contact Jodie Lawson on (07) 351 8130 at Rotorua Lakes Council.
Thank you for your input so far. We look forward to working with you to develop this project as part of our CyWay network.
Yours sincerely,
Jodie Lawson Sustainable Transport Team Leader
