Proposal for College Ambassador*

Objective

To encourage students to join IAC and provide them a channel to help IAC in its movement.

Necessity

As if now what we have observed that the biggest concern is lack of organization in Karnataka.

We don’t have proper track of volunteers and also of student, who want to join and help IAC in

its movement, don’t have proper channel. As per estimate there are abo ut 1.08M students

studying in various colleges in Karnataka. Most of them are of age 18 years and above and likely

to be the first time voter and so they need proper information and guidance to use their right to

vote in the right direction. Most students are having apathy towards political scenarios which is a

grave concern for all of us. We strongly feel that through efficient channels and by adequate

means we can make them politically aware of good cause of IAC.  To accomplish this, we needto have a proper setup among the students which can help us.

It will give a fair idea of all those students who are standing with us in this

movement. We will get to know our targeted audience and what they expect from us. Today’s

youth are well connected through social networking sites, so it makes them much effective in

campaigning or raising the issues. Through this, we will have a proper channel for collecting

feedback.

A protest is always recognized by the number of people taking part. We failed to have

protest as we wanted to have protest against HSBC and reliance near MG Road because of the

lack of interest among people. However, this can help to gather students from their college so to

increase the total number and so have successful protest.

It will also provide a nodal point for the region in which the college lies. So in case of 

IAC event the moderator can directly consult them.

Further, this will also provide an entry point for the future IAC leaders. The kind of work 

done by them will give an insight about their leadership credential. Also, we will get to know

about the individual talents and accordingly we can assign the task.

Therefore, we feel that through the setup of college ambassador we can solve various

issues and take the movement to the next level.

WorkingsCampus ambassadors will act as in communication link between the main IAC division and

college students and hence forth will convey every message from them too. They will be

involved in promotion of the activities of IAC and bringing more students to join by making

them aware of their role in the movement. Further, they will be acting as in leader and assist

them to get the proper work according to the individual talents for the students who are already

the member of IAC. Further, they will also organize “samuhik churcha” in and around college so

to widen the periphery of this movement.

Selection procedure

We will be looking for a guy who holds the vision to see India corruption free andwho is also aware of the present scenario of political mess in our country.

We will mail to the student council of every college to ask the interested

students to answer the following two questions on some link like survey monkey

provided with the mail.

a.  What do you think of IAC?

b.  How will you help the movement? (Include your past leadership

record etc.)

We will appoint the campus ambassador in the college with just one applicant

directly and for those with multiple applicants, final year students will be preferred

to form a core committee in the college. We will provide initial assistance to them

and later let them to run on their own.
