In educating moslem generation and socializing Quràn, Syech Ahmad Khatib Foundation and society build a school.

One of the programs is Tahfizhul Quràn. Since July, 2008, Ma`had Tahfizhul Quràn Syech Ahmad Khatib has opened a

formal class as level as Junior High Scool. Tahfizh Quràn is the primary vision and mission of the school.

Ma`had Tahfizhul Quràn Syech Ahmad Khatib got some problems in the process. Some of them are:

1. Teachers` salary and subsidy.2. Financial supports for students.3. Additional class for the next school year.

DONATION PROPOSAL

A.Introduction

Motivated to prepare Qur anic young moslem who can comprehend, teach and apply

Qurànic lessons, we try to build an educational institution as level as Junior High School namelyMa`had Tahfizhul Quràn Syech Ahmad Khatib that is protected by Syech Ahmad Khatib

Foundation. It is placed in Koto Tuo Balai Gurah, Ampek Angkek Subdistrict, Agam Regency, West

Sumatra Province.

Syech Ahmad Khatib Al Minangkabawi was one of Minangkabau`s Islamic leaders and also

one of Masjidil Haram communal prayer leaders at the end of 19 century. He was born in Koto Tuo

Balai Gurah. We use his name in honor him and hope the students will inherit his glorious lessons

especially in Quràn comperhension.

Ma`had Tahfizhul Quràn Syech Ahmad Khatib uses Indonesian Education Department

Curriculum which is integrated with Quràn and Hadits. The students are targeted to be able in 10

sections Tahfizh Quràn. They live in boarding school with their controller teachers.

There are 4 rooms in Ma`had Tahfizhul Quràn Syech Ahmad Khatib building, three rooms at

the first and one room at the second floor. Each room is 8 x 6 meter on a waqaf land 5000 square

meters in width. There are 20 students for this second school year. The rooms consist of a mushalla

on the second floor, a students` bedroom, one room as library plus computer, half room as controller

teachers` bedroom, and half room as a class. Some students are poor and orphan who get subsidy

from Syech Ahmad Khatib Foundation.

To support school activities, Syech Ahmad Khatib Foundation needs additional funds for:

1. Teachers` salary and subsidy.2. Financial supports for students.3. Additional class for the next school year.

B. Vision of Ma`had Tahfizhul Quràn Syech Ahmad Khatib

Producing Hafizhul Quràn who has Rabbaniy Islamic student competency.

C. Mission of Ma`had Tahfizhul Quràn Syech Ahmad Khatib

1. Reproducing West Sumatra Islamic leader cadre that based on stabilization in Aqidah, Syariàhand language

2. Developing integrated Islamic education pattern based on Quràn and Hadits3. Appying Qurànic lessons in society4. Developing Qurànic knowledge and comprehension center
