The ERV2-10 is a low flowelectric proportionally con-trolled relief valve similar tothe ERV1-10. This valve israted for flows from 0,2-2,8L/min (0.05-0.75 USgpm)and pressures up to 35 bar(500 psi).
The ERV3-10 is a low flowelectric proportionally con-trolled relief valve similar tothe ERV2-10. This valve israted for flows up to 0,8L/min (0.20 USgpm) andpressures up to 207 bar(3000 psi).
The EPRV2-8 is an electric,proportionally controlled,direct acting spool type,screw-in pressurereducing/relieving valve. It iscapable of handling flowsfrom 0-7,6 L/min (0-2USgpm) at set pressuresfrom 0-22 bar (0-320 psi).
The EPRV1-10 is an electric,proportionally controlled,internally pilot operated,spool type, screw-in pres-sure reducing/relieving valve.It is capable of handlingflows from 0-7,6 L/min (0-2USgpm) at set pressuresfrom 14-35 bar (200-500 psi).Also available is an ERV1-16which is capable of handlingflows from 0-38 L/min (0-10USgpm) at set pressuresfrom 14-35 bar (200-500 psi).
The EPRV3-10 is an electric,proportionally controlled,internally pilot operated,spool type, screw-in pres-sure reducing/relieving valve.It is capable of handling flowsfrom 0-30 L/min (0-8 USgpm)at set pressures from 35-207bar (500-3000 psi).

Electro-ProportionalValvesSection Introduction
This section gives basicspecifications for the com-plete line of Vicker’s screw-inproportional control valves.Its purpose is to provide aquick, convenient referencetool when choosing propor-tional valves or when design-ing a system using thesecomponents.
The EPV10 has several out-standing performance fea-tures which give it a uniqueposition in the screw-in car-tridge valve market. Valvegain linearity, flow forcepressure compensation char-acteristics above 20 bar (300psi) and low internal leakage.
The EPV16 is a proportionallycontrolled two-way poppettype valve. The main poppetamplifies a small flowthrough the pilot circuit andis comparable to a transistor.As the transistor uses smallcurrents to control larger cur-rents, the hydraulic valvetransistor or VALVISTORuses the pilotflow to controlthe main stage flow withservo-like response flow tocontrol.
The EFV1 is a proportionallycontrolled two-way, spooltype flow control valve.Technically the valve is notpressure compensated, butat high differential pressuresit is partially flow force pres-sure compensated.
The EFV2 is a three port,pressure compensated, pro-portional flow control valve.The valve can be used as apriority flow regulator, withregulated flow being sup-plied to port 3 and excessflow being by-passed to port2. If port 2 is blocked thevalve functions as a restric-tive, 2 way, pressure com-pensated flow regulator.
The ERV1-10 is an electric,proportionally controlled,internally pilot operated,spool type screw-in reliefvalve. It is capable of han-
designed to be easily con-trolled by the simplest of DCelectrical devices such as a12 volt battery and a poten-tiometer.
Varying the voltage at thecoil is one of the simplestmeans of control available.Any of the Vickers DC coilswill work on most of thesevalves simply by varying thevoltage between 0 and 75%of the rated coil voltage. Itshould be noted that as theoperating temperature of acoil increases, the solenoidforce decreases. Therefore ifthe voltage is held constantas the coil heats up thenvalve pressure (or flow) willchange.
Electrical current controlswith PWM are recomendedfor all Eaton proportionalvalves.
Closed-loop electrical controlwith feedback from theparameter to be monitoredwill provide the most accu-rate control.

Operation
In the de-energized posi-tion, flow is blocked fromport 2 to port 1, with noreverse flow permitted.When energized, flow is

Description
The EPV16 is a 2-way,normally closed, pressurecompensated, poppettype, screw-in cartridgeelectro-proportional flowcontrol valve.
Operation
“A” style (nose in, side out)- In the de-energized posi-tion this valve remainsclosed from port 1 to port2. When current is appliedto the coil, a controlledincreasing flow will beallowed from port 1 to port2, in proportion to the cur-rent applied.
“B” style (side in, nose out)- in the de-energized posi-tion the valve remainsclosed from port 2 to port1. When current is appliedto the coil, a controlledincreasing flow will beallowed from port 2 to port1. In both examples freereverse flow is allowed inthe opposite direction.

Description
The EFV1-10*-0** is a nor-mally open, unidirectional,uncompensated, spooltype, two way, proportionalflow control, screw-in car-tridge valve.
Operation
The valve is controlled bycurrent supplied to the coil.At zero current, the valve isfully open from port 2 toport 3. At 1500 to 1600 mA(12V coil) the valve is fullyclosed. Port 1 is used forpressure balancing thespool and armature andmust be blocked in allcases.
The maximum intendedpressure drop is 300 PSID.At pressure drops above300 PSID, almost noincrease in flow is obtained.The intended flow directionis from port 2 to port 3.Operation of the valve withflow from port 3 to port 2will produce flow vs currentand flow vs pressure dropcurves that are significantly
different from thoseobtained with flow fromport 2 to port 3.
Since the spool and arma-ture are pressure balanced,
the operating pressuredoes not affect the operat-ing characteristics of thevalve. The operating pointof the valve is determinedonly by current, pressuredrop and temperature.

Description
The EFV1-12*-C** is anormally closed, unidirec-tional, uncompensated,spool type, two way, pro-portional flow control,screw-in cartridge valve.
Operation
The valve is controlled bycurrent supplied to the coil.At zero current, the valve isfully closed from port 3 toport 2. At 1500 mA (12Vcoil) the valve is consideredfully open. This is the maxi-mum intended current levelfor use in applications. Port 1 is used for pressurebalancing the spool andarmature and must beblocked in all cases.
The maximum intendedpressure drop is 300 PSID.At pressure drops above300 PSID, almost noincrease in flow is obtained.The intended flow directionis from port 3 to port 2.Operation of the valve withflow from port 2 to port 3will produce flow vs currentand flow vs pressure dropcurves that are significantlydifferent from those
obtained with flow fromport 3 to port 2.
Since the spool and arma-ture are pressure balanced,the operating pressure doesnot affect the operatingcharacteristics of the valve.The operating point of thevalve is determined only bycurrent, pressure drop andtemperature.

Description
The EFV2-12*-0 is a nor-mally open, three port,pressure compensated,proportional flow controlvalve. The valve can beused as a priority flow regu-lator, with regulated flowbeing supplied to port 3and excess flow being by-
passed to port 2. If port 2 isblocked the valve functionsas a restrictive, 2 way, pres-sure compensated flow reg-ulator.
Operation
Current supplied to the coilcontrols the valve. At zerocurrent, the valve is fullyopen from port 1 to port 3.At 1600 mA (12V coil) thevalve is fully closed. Thevalve will regulate flow outof port 3 regardless of
downstream system pres-sure. As current is increasedto the solenoid the flow outof port 3 will decrease.
