We selected and planned our props and costumes carefully according to particular scenes in our opening sequence. For example we planned for the young girls to be in their pyjamas/comfy clothing to illustrate their in a relaxed, chilled environment by which they are having a girls night in. It also shows their innocence and how unlikely they are to engage in any type of problems. We also chose for the group of boys to be wearing dark clothing and leather gloves to portray them being in a gang out to commit a crime.
In terms of props we used some household items such as a rope and chair, which are usually used for positive purposes rather than negative purposes for e.g. someone being tied to a chair. As for the car, music player and leather gloves they were all planned by us much like the clothes we used and therefore weren’t just bought for production. We however, did buy the drinks, crisps and chocolates, which weren’t expensive and cost effective.
