PROPHYLAXIS FOR ABORTION

INTRODUCTION
• All reproductive events -- childbearing, miscarriage, infertility, abortion -- can be significant stressors in women's lives. However, emotional stress plays a important role in miscarriage. Also various drugs also play a role in abortion, followed by a few food products.
DRUG RELATED PROPHYLAXIS
For a pregnant woman, drug abuse is doubly dangerous. First, drugs may harm her own health, interfering with her ability to support the pregnancy. Second, some drugs can directly impair prenatal development.
DRUG RELATED PROPHYLAXIS
All illegal drugs usage such as heroin, cocaine, marijuana propose a risk for abortion so the above should not be taken when one is pregnant.Other medical drugs such as:-•Anticonvulsants•Antimigraine drugs•NSAIDs•Anticoagulant drugs Should be avoided during pregnancy to prevent abortion.
EMOTIONAL PROPHYLAXIS
THESE EMOTINAL SITUTATIONS SHOULD BE AVOIDEDEmotional actions and reactions of others affect a pregnant woman's state of mental health which in turn affects the fetus.
High stress levels in a woman also leads to mental imbalance and can lead to abortion.
Sudden bad news such as a relative or friends demise will also affect the emotional wellbeing of the pregnant woman.
FOOD PRODUCTS PROPHYLAXIS
Foods to be avoided during pregnancy that have a risk for abortion:-Alcohol
Soft cheeses such as mexican queso blanco
Pâtés or Meat Spreads:-Pâtés contain perishable meats, so they may harbour listeria which leads to abortion.
Unpasteurized Milk
Papaya:-Although a fully ripe papaya is not considered dangerous, a papaya that is at all unripe contains a latex substance that triggers uterine contractions and may cause a miscarriage.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion these above things should be avoided in pregnancy to prevent abortion, this is the prophylaxis for abortion.
