The Israeli Flag

When the State of Israel was formed in 1948, the design chosen for the flag was based on the blue and white stripes

of the prayer shawl with the Star of David in the centre.

Hebrew is now spoken by 6 million people after 2,000 years as a dead language, fulfilling Zephaniah 3:9 ‘a people of pure lips.’

The Hebrew Language has been rediscoveredby the painstaking life work of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda

Messianic JewsSince the 1960’s Jewish people have been coming to know

Jesus (Yeshua) as their Messiah.

They have brought a deeper dimension of worship and enrichment of the scriptures from Hebrew and a Jewish

perspective into the Body of Christ.

Page 6: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

ALIYAJewish people from all around the world have been

returning to the land of Israel, fulfilling many prophecies of Isaiah, Ezekiel and Zechariah.

Pioneers started to settle in the late 1900’s and there has been a gradual return since 1948, when the Jewish State was

miraculously born. There has been a mass exodus from the fSU (over 1.5 million)

since the fall of communism and now from all around the world.

Discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947

These papyrus and parchment scrolls in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic were found by Bedouin shepherd boys in 1947 inside

jars in caves at Qumran near the Dead Sea.They are dated between 150 BC and 70 AD and written by the

Essenes.

2000 year old date seed grows. No native date has grown in Israel for hundreds of years.

Discovered by archaeologists at Masada, Herod’s hill fort in 1970. In January 2005 permission was given to attempt to germinate

three of the seeds. One of the three sprouted! The young palm, nick-named Methuselah, has now grown into a

1.20 metre tall tree.

The shofar is made from a ram’s horn (blown in repentance.)

or antelope horn (blown as a warning or in rejoicing.)

Blowing the Shofar (trumpet in the bible)The shofar has been rediscovered as an instrument of warfare and celebration.

Page 14: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

 Reasons for sounding the Shofar

• at an annual feast or appointed time. • to wage war in the Land

• to celebrate: blown by the priests on the Shabbat and the feasts.

• to call the Jewish people home / to make aliyah

• for JUDGEMENT

• at the RESURRECTION

Talit or Prayer Shawl

The tassels should have a blue thread in them. This represents heaven on earth, the divine in our midst...

Page 17: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

The blue dye on the Tzitzit or tassels on the Talit

Since the exile and the destruction of the temple there was no blue thread, as the Jews lost how to make the blue dye.

The dye, 'techelet’, is obtained from the gland of a sea snail, 'murex trunculus,‘ has now been found.

This is a sign that the Messiah is coming soon!

Ark of the Covenant- the original ark was neither lost nor destroyed!

The ark was hidden by King Josiah of Israel from the invading Babylonian army.

It is hidden deep in a cave under Temple Mount. There is no need to create a replica. When the time is

right, it will be reinstated in its proper place.

Wedding in Hebron on Tisha B’Av (9th AV) 2002- a love affair with the Land of Israel

American Orthodox Jews, Yishai and Melkah Fleischer decided to get married in Hebron not only before their parents, but their ancestors – Abraham, Sarah etc who are buried there!

Defying bad omens and fear of terrorist attacks they declared loudly three times: ‘This land is our land!’

Page 20: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

Since the fall of the Second Temple in 70 AD, Jews have been praying faithfully for 2,000 years for a

third temple to be built. Reconstruction of the temple is underway and ready to be

reassembled.The Sanhedrin (72 Rabbis) has been re-established.

The Temple

The Third Temple

The Temple Institute has been preparing to build a Third Temple , piece by piece, on Jerusalem's Mount Moriah,

the site of the Dome of the Rock and the Aksa mosque.

Page 22: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

Position of the Third Temple on Temple Mount

The temple could be built North of the Dome of the Rock – to its right in the photograph

Page 23: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

Possible Position of the Third Temple

Recent discoveries have revealed that the Holy of Holies is under the Muslim ‘Dome of the Tablets ‘ or ‘Dome of the

Spirits’ and opposite the Eastern Gate.

Page 24: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

The Foundation Stone for the Third Temple

The Temple Mount Faithful have already consecrated a stone anointed with water from the biblical Pool of Siloam.

They wanted to place the stone at the Temple Mount, but their attempts were stopped, not only by Arab Muslims, but also

Jewish leaders who feared violence and destruction the Dome of the Rock (now held under Muslim authority.)

The Copper Scrolls

Two Copper Scrolls were part of the collection of the Dead Sea Scrolls

discovered 1952 in caves at Qumran and translated in 1956.

They gave cryptic information about the location of:

the urn holding the ashes of the red heifer, anointing oil and other temple treasures,

including the Ark of the Covenant, possibly hidden by Jeremiah and the

Essenes.

Page 26: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

The Holy Anointing Oil used in the Temple

In 1988 researchers from the Hebrew University discovered a small jug containing a dried residue of the Holy Anointing Oil of

Psalm 133 in Cave 13 near Qumran. This will be used to anoint the Messiah when He comes!

Page 27: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

The Incense

In another cave a red-brown spice sample was found, composed of nine different and unique plants.

Three kinds of Cinnamon Saffron, Balsam, Myrrh

Galganum, Cassia and Frankincense

600 kilos were recovered. This quantity of spices is significant because it is

equivalent to the amount of spice used in

one year of daily sacrifices in the Temple.

Page 28: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

The ashes of a pure Red Heifer are necessary for cleansing the priests and the Temple Mount before the

sacrificial system can begin.

The animal has to be killed by the priests outside the city walls.

Those who slew the Red Heifer were made impure according to the Biblical law, yet the ashes of the animal

were used to cleanse the priests (Numbers 19:7).

Page 29: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

The Red Heifer that was born in Israel around 11 years ago was later found to be imperfect after a few white hairs were

discovered in her tail.

It has now been revealed that Israeli scientists have apparently 'cracked' the genetic code for producing a pure Red Heifer.

Israel may already have a Red Heifer, unborn as yet.

Priests will need to be trained to handle the animal in the manner prescribed in Numbers 19.

Page 30: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

- -

- had to be pure, without spot or blemish, or the sacrifice of the animal

would not be acceptable to God (Numbers 19:2).

This was a perfect picture of the sacrifice of God's Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus was the One without spot or blemish. (1 Peter 1:18-19).

He knew no sin. (2 Corinthians 5:21).

He did no sin (1 Peter 2:22) and in Him is no sin (1 John 3:5)

A Rehearsal of the Killing of the Passover Lamb

On April 6, 2008, the first day of the month of Nisan), the Temple Institute performed the first ritual slaughter : korban

Pesach - the Passover offering in our day in a courtyard of the Old City of Jerusalem as a demonstration to students.

Page 32: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

Jewish ritual slaughter

The purpose was to perform a kosher shechita of the year-old lamb providing a detailed explanation to the students as to the intricacies and necessities of the kosher slaughter:

1.the inspection of the lamb for physical blemishes.(The presence of which would render the lamb

unqualified) 2. the actual slaughter of the animal, in a precise and Biblically mandated manner that ensures a quick and painless demise.

Page 33: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

Priestly GarmentsThe Temple Institute is inaugurating a workshop that

manufactures priestly garments, which have not been worn since the destruction of the Second Temple by Rome in 70 CE.

Production began in March 2008 using flax imported from India and spun and woven in Israel according to the manner

prescribed in the Torah. The woollen and linen belts are woven using purple, crimson and blue thread, dyed according to methods that would have

been used during the First and Second Temple eras.

Page 34: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

The Crimson Dye

The crimson colour comes from a specific mountain worm which has been identified as ‘Kermes biblicus'.

Its offspring feast on the mother's flesh and become covered with the red pigment.

The parent worm literally gives her life for her offspring, just as Jesus Christ gave His life for us. (John 10:11).

The Golden Crown of the High Priest

The ‘tzitz’ or head plate has an adjustable band to fit different sizes of head.

It was completed in November 2007 and the blue ephod in 2005.

The Breastplate of the High Priest

It took the Temple Institute researchers over a decade to find conclusively which tribe each of the gems represents.

The Golden Menorah

The 95 -pound pure gold menorah (worth about $2 million) was erected on the Temple Mount Steps overlooking the

Western Wall in 2008.

The Laver

The Temple Institute have created a copper laver which was patterned after a Second Temple design with a ‘keter’, or

'ornamental crown', which is to sit on top. It was made at Acco.

The Table of Show Bread

The golden table with piles of show bread which represent the twelve tribes.

The Temple Institute has been 20 years recreating all the sacred vessels.

Baking the Showbread after 2,000 years The recipe for the special bread and the baking process have been rediscovered

Priests putting the bread on the table on Shabbat and eating it Recently baked ‘chet’ & ‘konos’ shapes

Leviticus 24: 5-9 gives instructions for the ingredients and baking of the bread, rather like pasta or matzos. Twelve loaves were baked once a week and placed on the table of

showbread in the temple on Shabbat. After a week they were replaced with fresh bread and old ones were removed.

Amazingly they kept fresh for a week and were eaten by the priests. The recipe and baking process were rediscovered by the famous Professor Amar from a

secret held by the Garmo family.

Re-building the Altar of Sacrifice

On 9th Av 2009 the Temple Institute decided to reverse the curse of this time of disaster ,when both temples were destroyed as a sign that this is now the time to begin re-building the temple! The altar was made from boulders (uncut stones) stuck together

with tar and assembled ready to take to Temple Mount. NB The altar was made to offer burnt sacrifices before the re-building of the temple after the captivity in Babylon.( Ezra 3)

Page 43: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

The Priestly Blessing said again on Temple Mount on Jerusalem Re-unification Day June 1st 2011

Hundreds of religious Jews were able to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the first-ever entry of Israeli soldiers onto the Temple Mount.

Hundreds of visitors - all of whom immersed in a mikveh (ritual bath) prior to entering the Temple Mount in groups of 30-40.

Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, head of the Temple Institute and one of the paratroopers who helped liberate the Temple Mount in 196,7 recited aloud the blessing,

“Barukh – Thou art the source of blessing, God, Who performed a miracle for me in this place.”

Page 44: Prophetic Signs in Israel and the Re-building of the Temple

All these signs point to imminent events

The battle of GOG and MAGOG,the RAPTURE of the Church,

the TRIBULATION ,the REBUILDING of the TEMPLE

and SECOND COMING of JESUS CHRIST. .
