Assignment Kidder Mathews was retained on acquisition by a private investor to manage the 88,000 square foot, Class A office building located at 428 Westlake in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. Kidder Mathews represented ownership in construction meetings with GLY Construction, project manager, subcontractors, and Amazon, to ensure a seamless day-one move-in for Amazon in all six office floors. In addition to facilitating timely occupancy, Kidder Mathews’ role included lease abstracting, accounting and financial management, implementing competitive service contracts, set up of new electric car (“EV”) charging stations, and developing a detailed operating and capital budget.

Assignment The Center for Urban Waters is a 51,000 SF lab and office building located on the Thea Foss Waterway in Tacoma. The building is occupied by public agencies including the City of Tacoma’s Environmental Services laboratory and offices, University of Washington research laboratories, and offices for the Puget Sound Partnership; the state agency established in 2007 to lead efforts to protect and restore Puget Sound. Kidder Mathews was retained in 2009 to join the construction and development team in commissioning the building, facilitate occupant move-in, and establish operation protocols to achieve a LEED Platinum designation. Kidder Mathews was again retained in 2016 when the City of Tacoma took possession from the development authority.

Assignment Kidder Mathews was retained by this international pharmaceutical firm (NYSE: AZN) to manage this 8 building, 448,000 square foot, class-A research campus, representing AstraZeneca as lessee to its multiple landlords (including the Irvine Company and Alexandria Real Estate Equities), and as lessor to its multiple subtenants, program and facilitate move-out and de-commissioning, and implement capital projects while maintaining site and building operations.
