PRACTICA II de Direct object Pronoun e Indirect Object Pronoun
DOP direct object pronoun The object that directly receives the action of the verb is called the direct object.
yo tengo un libroLook at how Spanish and English are different."Lo tengo" and "La tengo" BOTH mean "I have it."Differences:
1."It" has two forms in Spanish: lo, la2."Tengo" one word in Spanish = two words in English (I have)3.The word order is different. In Spanish, the pronoun (lo, la) comes
before the verb; in English, the pronoun (it) comes after the verb.
The direct object answers the question "what?" or "whom?" with regard to what the subject of the sentence is doing. The key to success, as always, is to practice, practice, practice.
Usually the direct object can be replaced by a pronoun. Study the examples below. Do you see Claudia? Yes, I see her (“her” is the direct object pronoun used to replace the noun “Claudia”) ¿(Tú) Ves a Claudia? Sí, la veo (“la” is the direct object pronoun used to replace the noun “Claudia”).
In Spain when the direct object is a person people use as direct object pronouns le / les. ¿(Tú) Ves a Claudia? Sí, le veo (“le” is the direct object pronoun used to replace the noun “Claudia”).
In Latin America la(s) / lo(s) are used for people, animals and thingsStudy the chart below and click on the arrow to listen how to pronounce the word in Spanish

DOP & IOP The shortest way to say something is by combining direct object pronouns and indirect object pronouns into the same sentence. When using both pronouns, follow the same rules for placement (before simple verbs, attached to the others) just like when they are used separately, except:When both the direct and indirect object pronouns are in the same sentence, the indirect object pronoun goes in front of the direct object pronoun. Notice that when the object pronouns are attached to a verb, an accent is placed in order to preserve the natural stress of the verb.Indirect object pronouns le and les are changed to se when followed by lo, la, los, or las to make pronunciation easier.Given a sentence, choose the correct direct and indirect object pronoun combination for the direct and indirect object pronouns given. No quiero decir___ ___ (d.o. lo; i.o. les)
