When promoting the festival and the auditions, I tried to think of unique ways of approaching my audience. I know that a lot of people are on social networking sites so what better then to promote it on one! It is a quick and direct way to get through to people and proves to be effective.

I also made a Facebook group event to attract people to the main event and to raise awareness that the event is going to be happening. This way I will be able to inform many people directly.

Not only that but I took the traditional methods to promote the festival. We made leaflets for the show in which I gave out around school and in the local community.

I also made my own poster designs in which to create a poster for the festival in order to contribute to the promotion of it. I did four designs and developed the one that I thought was the most appropriate and attractive for the festival.

This was my developed plan of my poster that I feel will best promote the festival. However this is still just a plan and this poster will then be developed further!
