BLANKET

TENSION8 sts (4 pompoms) and 16 rows to 10cm, (4in) overgarter stitch on 4mm needlesor the size required to givecorrect tension. Check yourtension - if less stitches use athinner needle, if more use athicker needle.IT IS ESSENTIAL TO WORK

TO THE STATED TENSIONTO ENSURE SUCCESS.

Using 4mm needles, thumbmethod and C, cast on 40 stsvery loosely. Break off C.Change to M and proceed asfollows:-1st Row. (ws). Knit to end,working 2 sts between eachpompom using the thinnersection of yarn only.This row will now be referredto as g-st (garter stitch).Working in g-st (throughout)cont until blanket measuresapproximately 40cm,

(15¾in), ending with a wsrow or until yarn is all usedup.

Change to C and cast offvery loosely knitways.

TO COMPLETEUsing sewing thread, sew inends at back of work (thinsection to thin section), thentrim off. Pin out blanket tothe measurement given.Cover with damp cloths andleave until dry. See ball bandfor washing and further careinstructions.
