MAKERS’ MARKET 2015: THE SHOWPLACE FOR HANDCRAFTED DESIGNS AND UNIQUE FINDS A key product sector in a number of Urban Expositions’ gift shows, Handcrafted has always been a destination area for retailers seeking artisan quality crafts and distinctive designs to differentiate their stores. Responding to this growing demand and seeking ways to continue to increase and enhance business growth opportunities for artists and designers in this sector, Urban has rebranded the section and expanded the promotional and marketing efforts and opportunities for 2015. PRESENTING MAKERS’ MARKET This versatile, juried product showcase will bring together artisans and designers showcasing hand-styled crafts in all media and across such categories as tabletop, ceramics, textiles, home décor, jewelry, apparel and more. PROMOTIONAL SPOTLIGHT All Makers’ Market exhibitors will benefit from the expanded promotional opportunities, including: Product Preview Guide Special Section - Submit a product photo and descriptive copy for inclusion in the Makers’ Market section of the show’s preview guide (where offered), which is mailed out to all pre-registered and prospective attendees. Digital version also showcased on website and in buyer email marketing. Best Maker Award Eligibility - Each show will host a design competition. Makers’ Market exhibitors can submit one product entry that will be featured in a special display area for attendees to view and vote on the best design. Winning design and artisan will be featured in post show press release. Mobile App/Website Listing - The Makers’ Market section will have a special call out on the show’s website and mobile app featuring a listing of participating exhibitors. Dedicated Makers Market Attendee Email - Inclusion in email message to all pre-registered and prospective attendees. Makers Market Booth ID - Booth signage will include the Makers’ Market logo. Attendee Seminar Focus - The show’s buyer education program will include a program dedicated to marketing/merchandising the handcrafted sector. Full-Scale Marketing - In addition, the rebranded section will be spotlighted in the full scale marketing campaign for each show, including multi-level direct mail, email marketing, telemarketing, publicity and more.
