The Young Leaders Programme of the Aspen Institute Romania is designed with a cleartwo-fold goal: to within Romanianand European society; and to create a leadersbased on shared values and common interests.

The Programme addresses young peoplebetween the ages of 25 and 35 having achievedsignificant professional positions andaccomplished results within their area ofactivity. Candidates should have demonstratedleadership potential, a record of initiative andentrepreneurship and a proven civic interest.We welcome in the Programme candidatesfrom the following countries: Albania,Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia andHerzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia,Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Republic ofMoldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia,Turkey and Ukraine.

For this reason we offer a programme whichchallenges people to think about the fundamentalconcepts on which our society is founded. It also makesparticipants reflect to the challenges and conflicts thatleaders must face in deciding polices and strategies fortheir organizations and their communities in today'sworld. Finally we offer some practical training inpractical leadership skills.

European Olympics
to raise awareness and create a culture of European citizenship within the young generation
in Romania. It consists of a series of 6 trainings on EU-related issues in 6 high schools in Cluj-county
with a total number of 100 students. A one day event on 9 May, gathered the best 35 students involved
in the project in an essay competition with trips to EU Institutions and insight as prizes.
