Content:Filmstrip ProjectorA device use to view film strip which refer to a roll of35mm transparent film containing a series of related stillpictures shown one at a timer

Until 1960’s, filmstrips have only narrativeinformation printed at the bottom of each framewithout any audio accompaniment . Growingtrend on having recorded sounds to accompanythe filmstrips existed since then. The audio wasplayed on a separate player while filmstrip isbeing shown but later on, players were built intothe projector

Advantages:provides visual stimulation and motivation to the learnerfilmstrips are easy to storefixed sequence of the frames ensures the presentation to be in order, without fear of having any of the pictures out of sequence or upside downpace of viewing can be controlled by the userlends themselves well to independent study

Limitations:permanent sequence of the images makes it possible to alter its sequence without destroying the filmstripsprocket holes get damaged or torn if filmstrip is constantly used or not threaded properly

Slide ProjectorA device used to view photographic slides. Theterm slide refers to a small format photographictransparency individually mounted for one-at-atime projection, the price is quite high that it israrely found in classrooms today due to itscomplex nature

Advantages:the photographic equipment has become simplified thus giving amateurs a chance to produce their slidesslides are more flexible than filmstrips because they can be arranged and rearranged into different sequencesautomatic projectors with remote control and timer can hold sets of slides and feed them in sequenceslides can be integrated into individualized instruction programaudio may accompany the slideshow

Limitations:can be become easily disorganizedjamming of slides in the slide-changing mechanismdust or fingerprints may accumulate on the slide if not handled and stored properlynot effective in a fully-lighted roomno face to face contact with the learners, the room needs to darkened during the presentation

Overhead ProjectorA box with a large stage on the top surface, alamp inside the box is condensed by a specialtype of lens and passes through thetransparency that is placed on the “stage”.

Opaque ProjectorA device that has the capacity to display opaquematerials on screen, works with very strongincandescent light which reflected on a mirrorthat aims the light beam through a series oflenses onto a screen

Advantages:possible to have all colors projectedsmall objects magnified so they can be viewed by the groupvaluable prints or pictures viewed within the minimum damage

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display)ProjectorCan display video, images, or computer data onscreen or any flat surface, needs to beconnected to a computer for it to work

Advantages:slides are easy to prepare because of the presentation tools that are readily availablestorage is not a problem since slides are stored as files in the computerpossible to show motion or have accompanying sounds

Limitations:needs electricity and computer for it to runother projectors also have poor contrast, some colors aredistorted, and the room need to be dimmed so that the projection can be seen

heavy and bulkyusually needs a darkroom, heat from the projector can damage the materials being projected and opaque projectors are expensive
