Creative Problem Solving

The students collaborate and build skills for Destination Imagination.

Teams in Destination Imagination program learn higher order thinking and improve in creative thinking, critical thinking and collaborative problem solving. Our participants experience the creative process, develop new friendships and learn to work together. Our first competition will be on February 28th Towson State University . Not all PROJECT STEAM MD. students will be competing this year. We encourage all students and parents to come support PROJECT STEAM MD on February 28th. More details are forthcoming. !

Project STEAM MD students build 3D sculpting skills for printing.

The Future Is Now 3D Printing

3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In an additive process an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the entire object is created. Each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced horizontal cross-section of the eventual object. !The success of the Yankee Candle Fundraiser and a generous donation by Mr. Reyes has allowed PROJECT STEAM MD. to invested in its first 3D printer. The students are continually building their 3D sculpture skills using Blender in order to b their first 3D print.
