Project’s Details.

The overall Pro"ect go a )it )ehind according the schedule due to delays

in the setting out of site )ecause incorrect co1ordinates from the land

surveyor!

The earthworks for the new platforms have )een started on 2cto)er &3 and

must )e finished on Novem)er 45!

The e6cavation stage for the foundations in those )locks 7+ )locks8 which

don9t need earthworks have )een finished and the reinforcement should )e

start as following step!

The drilling of the )orehole for the water supply have )een finali:ed and the

Civil $ngineer is )usy checking the technical information a)out the

availa)ility in terms of ;uality of water, capacity in supply, etc!

Project Summary:

+ The e6cavation of ' classrooms )locks and & multipurpose classes

have )een finished and are ready for the ne6t step! 7see pictures

Challenges / Issues:

• The @#CC Contract with all the necessary documentation have no

)een signed!

• The date when the pro"ect to )e completed is in risk )ecause after

<>A of the time elapsed the pro"ect is almost starting!

• The Master programme was presented )ut still lacks the detailed

construction programme!

• The rain during the latest days put in risk the ;uality on the

foundations!

Solutions

• The @#CC Contract must )e given to BDT on <51<<1&5<5 to )e

signed!

• $6tension of Practical Completion must )e issued )y the contractor

through a letter to P*, due to the delays during the setting out )ut t!

$ven must )e evaluated the cost implication!

• The contractor should present a new strategy to recover the days

)ehind the schedule in the earthworks!

• The construction programme with the detailed information a)out the

progress, )lock )y )lock should )e finished as soon as possi)le!

• The contractor should take in consideration )uild temporary trenches

to help evacuate the rain water within the trenches, specifically )y

the north1western :one!!
