Status SummaryReal assembly should start this week. Many miscellaneous parts ordered and
most here. (o-rings, bolts, cryo grease, fittings, copper strips)
Compressor for Cryo cooler wired up. Extending control cables.
Run Cryo cooler only – week of 2/21?Cool cassettes – week of 2/28 or later?Ship in March

Pictures – Thermal links Thermal link fabrication problems have a solution –
Copper here. Solder on order. Delivered parts cleaned up for re-use.– Using 30 sheets of 0.005” thick copper at each link.– Polyimide (Kapton) 0.003” as solder mask– Calculate Temp drop 1.0 K at 65 K, & 0.1 K at 8 K station– Calculate 20 lbf, 90 Newtons force to flex

Areas of possible concernControl system details
– Sensors, controllers, heater, feed thru’sSafety Documents & approval
– “Pressure vessel” is special– Need to size & obtain relief valves
Thermal link fabrication unknownsTemperature & pressure stability
– small gas volume– part of commissioning/test
