WHAT IS PROJECT POSITIVE?Project Positive is a one-month challenge aimed at decreasing depression and anxiety among teenage girls. While the challenge focuses on taking control of your own happiness, you are provided with a comprehensive support system to assist you on your journey to your best self. The vision for Project Positive is to make a lasting positive impact on the lives of young girls by improving their confidence and the way they view themselves.

ONE-MONTH CHALLENGE CALENDARProject Positive involves completing a simple activity each day. For example, you may be asked to write down three things you like about yourself or to give a stranger a compliment. These small activities are listed on the printable calendar available on the website. While the official Project Positive month is November, the challenge can be completed at any time of the year.

‘TAKE A COMPLIMENT’ FLYERSTo increase the self-esteem of the target audience, Project Positive ‘take a compliment’ flyers will also be available for download from the website. These flyers feature perforated tabs with compliments on them that can be kept for yourself or given to a friend.

SCHOOL PROGRAMSchools can purchase packs which contain one-month challenge calendars and ‘take a compliment’ fl yers to distribute to their students. Schools in major cities can also book the Project Positive Bus. The bus is driven by qualifi ed counsellors who hold talks on self-esteem building and run positivity workshops.

PRINT ADVERTISINGProject Positive will have monthly advertisements promoting the challenge in teen magazines such as Girlfriend, and posters in locations popular with teenage girls such as shopping centres.

MERCHANDISEMerchandise can be purchased from the website and the Project Positive Bus. Items available for purchase include iPhone cases that feature positive quotes, and journals which participants can use to complete written daily challenges.

SOCIAL MEDIADue to the young target audience, Project Positive will be active on both Facebook and Instagram. On Facebook, daily posts will include reminders about Project Positive calendar challenges, inspirational quotes, and testimonials from participants. On Instagram, daily posts will include positive visuals, and re-grams from Project Positive participants who have used #ProjectPositive on their challenge photos.

SMARTPHONE APPThe participants can use the Project Positive app to log when they have completed the designated activity each day and to track their progress. They can also use it to chat to a counsellor, buy merchandise and take the Project Positive quiz.

The Project Positive quiz is a series of 10 questions that enable the participant to determine how positive they are

and to take steps to improve their positivity if necessary.

The results of the quiz come in the form of a Positivity Percentage. Project Positive participants are encouraged to take the quiz at diff erent stages throughout the one-month challenge and to track their progress in the app.
