1. Amplify – Amplify Capacities via Person-Centered Design: Explore elements of person-centered planning that lead to fresh ways for people to discover capacities and strengthen vision with people and their allies. Make gifts and capacities visible. Find places where these are needed.

2. Activate- Activism through Community Building: Explore ways to identify neighborhood as sets and opportunities for development in local communities, and partner with direct support professionals to initiate action for inclusion. Bring possibilities to life day by day.

3. Innovate – Organizational Innovation: Examine organizational investments in innovation and explore innovative prototypes. Explore unknown space to generate new supports.

4. Associate –Civic Association and Engagement: Consider innovative partnerships in local communities that increase participation of all in civic life. Move outside human service territory to join with associations working hopefully in people’s community.

Ingredients of community inclusion (I)

Sensing journeys opened up a deeper understanding for “ingredients” of community inclusion:–Friendly, accessible places –A good culture of appreciation–Good structure, rules and charming engagement–Bring people together based on same interests–Individualized, flexible funding for support through personal assistants–Meaningful, interesting and valued (voluntary) work that matches peoples interests, time and abilities–The power of fade, small projects – discovering by doing–Design projects inclusively not only for people with disabilities


Ingredients of community inclusion (II)

– Research what is needed locally to make the community better for everybody and then invest in projects that improve community life

– Organisations that invest in communities and people not in facilities– The art of networking needs at least one artist who cares and

connects– The field is as fertile as the connection between people (Beth Mount)– Being missed in the community as a quality criteria for success – “Communal intelligence” (Hüther) – a new culture of relationships,

where everybody feels that his gifts are needed, so that we can connect to each other, learn from one another and grow together
