rivers and various types of hydraulic structures along rivers

Position held: Office Engineer


- Lead in a variety of office engineering tasks as needed, including progress of works; compilation of reports

- Collection of data relating to design; - Assist Senior Design Engineers in finalizing the design of hydraulic structures - Assist the Team Leader, Deputy Team Leader and other Senior Engineers

with a variety of office/administrative tasks, including the review and processing of progress of works, correspondence and document management/control systems;

- Coordinate with Senior Engineers in survey, investigation, planning & design and contract management at project office, preparation of necessary drawings (cross-section, long profile of river) using AutoCAD, maintaining records of all documents, drawings;

- Preparation of field visit plan and arranging & management of field visit for Team Leader, Deputy Team Leader and other Senior Engineers;

- Assist Office Manager in the supervision of office supply and other administrative works.

- Preparation of BOQ and estimation of costs (e.g. dredging, hydraulic structures such as bank protection revetment, excavation of earthwork etc) as

per rate schedule of Bangladesh Water Development Board.
