Project Management This program prepares individuals who plan to enter the field of Project Management as well as those who are currently working in the field and want to supplement their on-the-job experience. The program examines the process of project management starting with examining the situation and organizing the team; moving through identifying tasks and estimating resources; and concluding with setting schedules, managing risk, and completing the plan. Program participants include individuals from a wide variety of business, nonprofit, and governmental organizations. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS The program consists of 56 hours (8 days) of required classes and 12 hours (2 days) of elective classes. Required Classes: EFFECTIVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT (3 days/21 hours) Introduces the concepts, practices, and skills required in project management: examining the situation and organizing the team; identifying tasks and estimating resources; setting schedules, managing risk, and completing a plan. • ImplementIng project management (2 days/14 hours) Addresses the challenges that result as the methodology is being introduced into an organization. • advanced project management (3 days/21 hours) Addresses the issues of managing the operational phase of a project, team management and leadership, and handling the challenging daily life of the project manager.
