Laboratory training sets for DIGITAL , ANALOG , CIRCUIT THEORY and MICROPROCESSOR courses were purchased and received in KPU .
Due to frequent POWER CUTS and power fluctuations ;Power regulators will be installed on the mains
electricity together with UPS systems in the classes and
laboratories .
Regulators and UPS Systems were chosen and INSTALLATION will be contracted very soon ..
Modern NETWORK EDUCATION will be carried outwith CISCO Equipment.
The students will have INTERNATIONAL CISCO CERTIFICATES next to their Computer Eng. degrees .
All the CISCO Equipments are in the process ofpurchasing .

Network plans of the computer engineering dept were completed and the
equipments are in the process of purchasing .
Some examples of plans
The internet connection is already available in the university but at a low bandwidth.
The ISP Company
:
IO Global
LTD ‐Supporter:
USAID
‐Download Bandwidth: 1Mbps ‐Upload Bandwidth: 256 Kbps
Higher
bandwidth connections
will be introduced for
the Computer Eng dept. with the help of
USAID in near future.
The actual setting up of the network and integration into the university network will be
carried out during summer 2010 .
One of the most important aspect of this project is the REMOTE EDUCATION
which will be provided in KPU by Ankara University Computer Engineering Dept .
KPU students willfollow the lecturessyncronously withAnkara universtyStudents .
The remote education is the foundation of this project between KPU and ANKARA University.
The REMOTE EDUCATION audio visual devices are in the process of being purchased.
Both sides will have AUDIO / VISUAL Communication through internet in real time in nearfuture.
Within the academic cooperation between the Ankara University and KPU ;
Two students will come to computer engineering department of Ankara
University to start their MSc degrees during summer 2010 .
TIKA (Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency)has also involved in the educational aspect of this project. Hence these two students will be funded by the agency.
FINALLY The realization of NATO project NIG : 983457 is one of
the most important step towards the development of PEACE and PROSPERITY of future Afghanistan .
Through this project , The young COMPUTER ENGINEERS will gradute from COMPUTER SCIENCE FACULTY of KPU with the most upto date information about computers
and inreturn will serve the Afghan society much better .
