PROJECT CHRISTMAS CHILD For the past few years, the NEC community has been generous in
caring for local families in need at Christmas by providing winter
clothing and a gift for their children. In the café are stars with the
name of a child and a needed item of warm winter clothing and a gift
card or toy ($60 or less). Please consider taking a star for a child as
well as an information sheet! All gifts need to be returned to NEC
by December 21st.
If you know of a family who would benefit from participating in
Project Christmas Child, please pick up a form at Guest Services or at
the display table in the Cafe. Filled out forms can be put in the
collection boxes. If you have questions, please contact Amy Cornwell
CHRISTMAS COLLECTION FOR STRAIGHT AHEAD thru 12/14 NEC's partner ministry, Straight Ahead, will be collecting toiletries,
winter hats, gloves, mittens, games and other basics for at-risk kids in
Worcester. To pick up a complete shopping list or for more
information, please visit the Straight Ahead table in the café or
contact Amy Cornwell at [email protected].
WORLD RENEW GIVING TREE
World Renew reaches out with help and hope to those who have the
least. Stop by the tree in the cafe over the next three weeks, and see
how we can all play a part in God's plan to restore his world and bring
hope to those in need.

* Connecting with elementary-age kids & families as they discover God

Are you interested in connecting with or becoming part of the NEC
community? Usually when we become part of something we first get
to know more about it, then we take steps to engage with it, until
finally we make the final step of calling it our own. At NEC we call this
process, Connecting to NEC. It’s for anyone who’s been here a few
months or a few years. Are you ready to take a first step? KNOW - Getting to Know NEC: January 21 at 7PM This session is for
anyone who is interested in learning more about NEC. We will learn
about the story of NEC, what it means to be a Christian and what a
church is. It will begin to clarify if this is a place for you.

DEEP FREEZE/CAMP BEREA: March 6-8 (grades 6-12) $175/person
Christian bands rock the stage and youth speakers deliver messages
that will encourage each teen to seek their purpose in Christ and how
they can impact the rest of the world. Combined with camp games
and free time activities like winter paintball, snowshoeing, tubing,
basketball and volleyball tournaments, rock climbing and more, a
weekend at Deep Freeze is the perfect way to have fun while your life

IGNITE MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP : Sat, Dec. 20, 6-8 p.m.
All students grade 6th - 8th are invited to join us for a gingerbread
house competition, dinner, and exploring how God uses unlikely
people in unlikely places to do something extraordinary. For more
