IntroductionGreetings from Makassar,

Indonesia.Makassar (Buginese-Makassar

language) sometimes spelled Macassar, Mangkasara' , is the provincial capital of South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is the

largest city on Sulawesi Island in terms of population number and the fifth

largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Medan. From

1971 to 1999, the city was named Ujung Pandang, after a pre colonial fort

in the city, and the two names are often used interchangeably. The port city is located on the southwest coast of the island of Sulawesi, facing the

Makassar Strait. The city's area is 19,926 square kilometers (7,693 sq mi) and it had a population of around 1.6

million in 2013. Its official metropolitan area, known as Mamminasata, covers

an area of 2,473 square kilometers (955 sq mi) and had a population of

around 2.5 million at the 2010 Census.

Project Description

IEC is the one of english course in Makassar, which the students have average age around 15-22 years. The project is about education issue, the intern will involve in english class activity, do sharing session

about english language and intern culture, and encourage the student to speak english bravely to

speak up their mind. The interns will do visiting class to promote english and education are the best part. Moreover, The interns will join in cultural activity to

showcase their culture and tradition with other interns.

One of the islamic higher education school in Makassar is SIT Al-Fityan. The intern will learn and

adapt with islamic atmosphere in this school, understand the culture and the tradition. The issue

will be english education that aims to build and motivate the students to understand ‘english is an important issue in global’. The description of the

projects; the interns will do sharing session in englishrelated their culture and country to encourage the

student to see the world as the bigger part, the interns wil be a mentor to teach english in the class

and participate as the supervisor in the school intern programme and english village event. The interns

will also showcase their country and culture in global village event.

The one of Islamic school for Junior and Senior high level in Makassar is also exist for SIT Al BiruniMakassar. The school’s project will be focused on three issues, in this case journalism, environment, and entrepreneur. The intern will be a mentor to share in english related journalism, environment,

and entrepreneur issues. Those issues will be implemented on wall magazines for the schools.

Furthermore, the intern will share in english about their cultures, and encourage the students to be

brave in speaking english. In the end of project, the intern will involve in showcasing their culture

regarding to create the perspective of differences that occur in the world

LBPP LIA is the one of english course in Makassar. Education and journalism are being

the issues of the project that realize in this english course. The project issue will be able to motivate the students to learn and speak english as well. Over and above, Journalism

will be the focus inside the education. Hence, the intern will be a mentor to share about journalism knowledge. Also, creative wall

magazine is the result of the knowledge that implemented by the intern and students. In additional, during the class the intern will

share about their culture and country. Afterward, in the end of project the intern

will showcase their country and culture.

The Islamic school for Senior high school that exist in Makassar. The intern will feel to live and adapt islamic school and mingle

with the students. The project is englisheducation and entrepreneurial. The intern will be a mentor in teaching english, and

involve with students in english club. The intern will share knowledge about

entrepreneur issue such as business planning, create product packaging, and

how to sell it.Do not forget to register here

KIDS STAR project is education project in kindergarten and elementary school which

the students are around 1,5 to 13 years old. Intern will adapt with the children in term to

create an awareness stage of englishenvironment around the school, motivate the students to be aware with cultural diversityalso participate global village to showcased the country profile, cultures, and traditions.

All the students finally get cultural understanding and english language skill

improvement.

Edu Bright Kids project is education project in kindergarten and elementary school

which the students are around 1,5 to 13 years old. Intern will adapt with the children

in term to create an awareness stage of english environment around the school, also

motivate the students to be aware with cultural diversity. The intern will showcase

their traditional stuffs, toys, and foods in the end of project weeks.

Makassar, (sometimes spelled Macassar, Mangkasara) formerly called Ujung Pandang is the provincial capital

of South Sulawesi, Indonesia, and the largest city in Sulawesi Island. The old Paotere harbor are well worth a

visit, the traditional Bugis Makassar sail ships called "Perahu" arrive and depart with goods to and from

other Indonesian islands.Makassar is not only offer for Culture Tour but also

available island tour with white sand beaches such as Samalona Island, Kodingareng Keke and other islands that is ideal for swim, sunbathing, snorkeling or diving.

We also have TanaToraja. Lies about 328 km north of Makassar,

TanaToraja, literally "Torajaland", is a highland region of Southern

Sulawesi in Indonesia. TanaToraja, the famed "Land of The Heavenly

Kings”, TanaToraja has unique culture set in stunning scenery. Globalisation and tourism may have impact, but if you venture

away from the tarmac roads you will find soon a way of life that has not changed much in the last 100

years.

Makassar is a big and Metropolitan city in

Indonesia. We have several transportation that can help you to go around the city.

Makassar also offer culinary tour with various taste, there are many delicious meals can be found around Makassar ranging from

traditional foods to seafood, the most famous of traditional food is Coto Makassar. Konro dish is also popular traditional food in Makassar. Both Coto Makassar and Konroare usually eaten with Burasa or Ketupat.

Makassar is the home of Pisang Epe (pressed banana), as well as Pisang Ijo (green banana).

Many street vendors sell Pisang Epe, especially around the area of Losari beach. Pisang Ijo is a banana covered with green colored flours, coconut milk, and syrup.
