2013 Groundwater Cleanup

• Rounds I and II Complete

• Focused on “off-site” areas (White Cap property and Jennings Street) with small treatment area near lagoon in Area B-South

• Injection of treatment agent into groundwater with 2-inch wells

• Limited disruption to local traffic and businesses

• Majority of treatment completed by end of 2013

• Ongoing monitoring

Tunnel Closure and Shoreline Improvement Project

Cooling Water Tunnel Closure: • Five tunnels to be closed; to ensure

continued safety

• Work completed by December 2013 • Tunnels will be sealed at the ends

and filled with a concrete slurry mix

• Tunnels were used to convey water to cool the plant operations
