Write a title to your project summarising the issue you intend to discuss. Introduction 2. Write a brief introduction outlining the importance of your proposed project to the educational sector or ESL in Oman. Purpose of the study 3. State in clear, standard language the objective of the intended study. Research question(s) 4. Write the questions your study aspires to answer: Your questions should include the variables to be studied and the Significance level at which the study is to be conducted. Hypotheses 5. Write your hypotheses (If applicable) in both forms: Null and alternative. Study Design 6. Explain the design you intend to adopt in your study (List in extensive detail how you intend to conduct the study and organise your intended subjects) Study sample 7. Explain in one or two short paragraphs your sample size (how many people will you include?) and sampling procedures (How will you select them?) 8. Assessment criteria:

ITEM GRADE1 The introduction is clear and places the project in its correct frame. 11 The intended study is within the set research area. 12 The purpose of the study is written in standard language. 13 The RQs are in line with the declared purpose and serve it. 14 The Hypotheses are appropriately stated. 15 The study sample is appropriate. 16 The study design is appropriate and in line with the other components 17 The sampling procedures are appropriate (probability procedures). 18 The sampling procedures take into consideration the research variables. 29 The data sought is measurable. 110 The data collection tool fits the purpose of the study. 211 The data collected directly serves the research questions. 212 The arguments explaining the sample size are acceptable. 213 The significance level is acceptable for the intended study. 114 The data analysis procedure is appropriate to the study. 2
