Project 13 Keeping memories alive is so important andwhile, inthepast, itemsmayhavebeentuckedaway in drawers, people are becoming moreswitched on to memorabilia being attractivepiecesofdecorativeartaswellasarespectfulway of keeping memories alive. Carefulchoices of design, colour and proportion cangivethepastacontemporaryfeel, evenmakingitsuitableforamodernenvironment.
In this project planning is all: spending time at that stage of a project, considering the 3D necessities and the various proportions / weightings of borders, layer by layer make the execution of the project so much easier. Knowing exactly what to do at each layer means that you can even treat it as a series of mini projects all housed in one frame. The choice of black was partly to add a bit of gravitas to the grouping but it also shows off the strong colours of the medal ribbon and the golds of the badge. The unifying triple mount takes the colour choice from the medal ribbon
