Considering the perennial changes and advancements that our national and global economies are undergoing, the theme for the conference has been carefully chosen to be inclined towards contemporary issues in economics. Economics and economic affairs of the ‘world economy’ are in the frontline, being discussed and dealt with an enthusiasm as never before. The discipline of economics has changed substantially in recent times and their impact in day-to-day life is intrinsic. Similarly, the multi-disciplinary approach to research has fuelled the importance of economics in all walks of life and streams of research. Economics as a social science is transforming, evolving and influencing tremendously beyond its obvious boundaries. The transition well observed, analyzed, captured and understood may lead to intelligent inferences and decisions, in favour of household, business, communities, economies and world economy as a whole.
