START YOUR SEASON WITH A BOOST.Ascend® plant growth regulator helps get plants out of the ground more quickly, which can mean bigger, stronger plants come harvest time. Apply in-furrow with corn for faster germination and more robust roots. Combine with starter fertilizer and chelated zinc for improved results.
VT FUNGICIDE - NUTRITIONAL ON CORN1) Select an appropriate hybrid with the correct traits for your soil type, crop rotation, tillage systems, etc.
2) Develop a solid fertility plan (base fertilizer blend, starter fertilizer, side dressplan).- Example: 120-60-50-15S as a base blend, followered by a starter blend of 3 gal. 10-34-0, 2
gals. RiseR , 1 qt Zinc 9%, and Ascend, followed by a side dress application of 12 gals 28% and 3 gals ammonium thiosulfate
3) Plant corn when soil reaches the optimum temperature of 50 F, at an idealdepth of 1.5 - 2.5 inches
4) In your weed control program, utilize a residual herbicide applied as a preemergeor as a tank mix partner with the first pass of glyphosate.
5) Apply a fungicide at V5-V8 growth stage, along with a side dress application ofnitrogen and sulfur
Corn requires the majority of its nitrogen between V9 and V18, which is why a side dress application of nitrogen and sulfur can be very beneficial.

For best results with Roundup Ready® XTEND™ Crop System herbicides please follow these application guidelines. (pending regulatory approval):
1st: Apply a PPI or preemerge herbicide. (Authority® brands, Valor®, Verdict®, etc.)2nd: Apply dicamba before weeds are more than 4 inches tall at labeled rate3rd: Apply dicamba again at labeled rate if needed, but before soybeans are in the R1 stage.
For best results with Liberty® herbicide please follow the following application guidelines:
1st: Apply a PPI or preemerge herbicide. (Authority® brands, Valor®, Verdict®, etc.)2nd: Apply Liberty® before weeds are more than 3-4 inches tall at 36 fl oz/A, plus a residual herbicide like Warrant® or Zidua®. 3rd: Apply Liberty® again at 29 fl oz/A 7-10 days after first application
Soybean production has gotten increasingly difficult over the past few years. This past growing season we saw significant issues with iron deficiency chlorosis (IDC), soybean cyst nematode (SCN), and weed control. The first step to managing all of these issues starts with selecting a trait platform.
1) Select the right trait for your operation - conventional, Roundup Ready®, Liberty®, and Xtend®. 2) Select varieties that fit the rest of your needs3) To manage IDC, choose a variety with IDC tolerance that works on your ground - look at whether an in-furrow iron product or granular product are an option - look at a foliar application in season if IDC is an issue4) To manage SCN, implement crop rotation, variety selection, and Clariva®Complete seed treatment.
Weed control is probably the one issue that growers have the most control over. Multiple trait packages are available for growers to choose from, to help them combat ant hard to control
weed problems. Below are some recommendations
1st - Apply a PPI or preemerge herbicide (Authority® brands, Valor®, Verdict®, etc.)
2nd - Apply glyphosate at a high use rate, tank mix with a burner (Cobra™, Flexstar™, etc.), also add in another residual product like Warrant™or Dual ™
3rd - Apply glyphosate at a higher use rate, tank mix with a burner (Cobra™, Flexstar™, etc.), but before soybeans are in the R1 stage if needed.

Make soybean cyst nematodes useful.Turn them into fertilizer.
While other seed treatments claim to be effective against soybean cyst nematodes (SCN), Clariva® Complete Beans seed treatment, a combination of separate products, is the only broad-spectrum seed treatment proven to kill them all season long. As it acts to destroy SCN, it also reduces damage from sudden death syndrome (SDS). All this lethal power comes from a tough nematicide paired with the unbeaten insect and disease protection of CruiserMaxx® Beans with Vibrance® seed treatment, a combination of separately registered products. AG TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
WCAS offers many different Ag Technology programs, from writing prescriptions for fertilizer application and planting, to topography mapping, to yield data analysis, to providing in-season imagery. To do this WCAS uses multiple tools a few of which are: R7® Tool by WinField, FieldView™ by Climate Corporation,
FieldReveal, ADMS by GK Technologies, and SMS® by AgLeader.
R7® Tool by WinField is a program that allows us to develop management zones based off of satellite imagery and soil types. It also gives us insights into product placement by utilizing the power of the AnswerPlot® system. This data drives the characterization chart which help with placing the right product on the right acre. R7® Tool also provides us with in-season imagery, and the Field Monitoring Tool (FMT). This imagery and FMT can help us prioritize which fields we need to be most concerned or interested in.
The R7® Tool also allows us to access the Field Forecasting Tool®(FFT). FFT is a crop model that includes simulations of growth stages, biomass, water, nitrogen, and potassium uptake. FFT also incorporates weather and soil models to help predict the available nitrogen, potassium and water. Hybrid information from the R7® Tool can also be included for response to nitrogen and fungicide scores..
FieldView™ by Climate Corporation is a program that monitors the weather on a field by field basis, provides in-season imagery, can be used for prescription writing, and also is useful as a tool in nitrogen management decisions. Using weather stations around the country FieldView tracks precipitation and temperatures on a field level. It will use this information along with data entered by the grower like type, placement, and amount of fertilizer applied to help guide decision making on sidedressing/topdressing corn. The imagery is beneficial in scouting, as pins can be placed and shared between growers and agronomists to mark the spot of something interesting..
We also utilize ADMS and SMS® for analysis of yield data, topography data, and prescription writing. These four programs combined give us the ability to meet most growers wants and needs for precision ag. For more information on any of these programs please contact a WCAS salesperson. Also feel free to look up more on the R7® Tool at www.answertech.com and FieldView™ at www.climate.com.

BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICE FOR SPRING WHEATFor maximum yield of spring wheat follow the following program.
• Pick a high yield potential wheat variety• Apply proper fertility to maximize yield
• Apply Nitrogen at 1.75#/ bushel of yield goal• For each 10# of Nitrogen applied apply 1# of Sulfur. This ratio will help both yield and protein.• A 75 bushel wheat crop will remove 50# Phosphate and 30# Potash
• Use a seed treatment• Seeding rate based on variety• Fungicide at herbicide time
• Priaxor™ is a good choice to give you full season control.• Monitor for disease at flag leaf emergence.• Prosaro™ or Caramba™ at heading timing. Feekes 10.1• A post flowering application of 10 gal 28%/10 gal water has shown to increase protein
TCG-SPITFIRE• Very high yield potential• Medium height with great standability• Very good disease package• Avg. Protein but can be improved
under management.
TCG-CLIMAX• Very high yield potential• Medium-Tall height with very
good standability• Medium high protein
WB9479• Top yield potential• Outstanding protein• Excellent standability
WB9719• Very good protein• Excellent yield• Outstanding standability
WB9590• Excellent standability• Adabtable across environments• Outstanding yield potential
HRS 3419• Very high yield potential with
superior standability• Likes high pops., and nitrogen• Excellent all around disease package
