To be considered for early admission, a complete list of all grade 12 subjects (completed, in progress and planned) must be presented on your application for
admission along with any additional "other" admission requirements. Applications will be evaluated based on final grades in grade 11 and/or grade 12 subjects.

3* Bachelor of Social Work requires Social Work diploma or completion of 60 credits in Bachelor of Arts.
4* Unless a March 30 closing date is indicated, international applicants must apply by May 1 for Fall intake and September 30 for Winter intake.
5* Admission is competitive where the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of seats available. Competitive programs may have earlier
deadlines, higher admission average or additional admission criteria such as auditions or writing samples.
6* International Student Bridging (ISB) category of admission allows applicants to enter their goal program directly if they are deficient in ONE subject and/
or present a minimum 5.5 IELTS/70 TOEFL. Students missing one High School subject must present the competitive average on 4 subjects and additional
admission criteria. Successful applicants must complete the deficient criteria in their first year of study.
** Travel is a 2 year program compressed into 13 months.
*** Applicants must have a minimum of 30 post-secondary credits, including a post-secondary English course, to be eligible.
STEPS TO APPLY1. Submit an application through ApplyAlberta.ca.
2. You will receive a MyMacEwan.ca login and email address. Please log in to the MyMacEwan Portal. From this point forward, all communication must be from this email.
3. Submit electronic documents through myStudentSystem within the MyMacEwan Portal:
a. Login to MyMacEwan.ca and click on
myStudentSystem
b. Click on the My Documents tile
c. Choose the document type and upload all education documents
and certified translations separately:
• ELP test results (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.)
• High school transcripts
• Post-secondary transcripts
(university or college, if applicable)
• Document translations
• Name verification (passport photo page)
4. Please check program specific requirements, and upload any additional items as needed, such as First Aid training or police certificates. Also make arrangements for auditions and portfolio submissions with program areas if required.
5. Applications will not be evaluated until all supporting documents are received. Processing time is calculated from date all required documents are received
6. Once you have received your offer through myStudent System you must accept the offer and pay the deposit, using Flywire, before the deadline.
7. All final official documents must be submitted directly to the university by August 1.

Bachelor Degree/Diploma: $23,000 - $25,000 CAD
Specialized Programs: $26,000 - $30,500 CAD

IELTS - Minimum overall band score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 5.5 in each component
TOEFL - 86 iBT (internet-based) and a minimum score of 21 on all 4 sections of reading/listening/speaking/writing or 580 PBT (paper-based) with a minimum score of 50 in each component
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
IELTS - Minimum overall band score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 5.5 in Reading and Writing, 6.0 in Listening, and 7.0 in Speaking
TOEFL - 86 iBT (internet-based) and a minimum score of 21 in Reading and Writing, 23 in Listening, and 26 in Speaking
PSYCHIATRIC NURSING
IELTS - Minimum overall band score of 7.0 and a minimum score of 6.5 in Reading, 7.0 in Writing and Speaking, and 7.5 in Listening.
TOEFL - 98 iBT (internet-based) and a minimum score of 21 in Reading, 27 in Writing, 27 in Listening, and 23 in Speaking

PREPRATORY PROGRAMSEnglish as an Additional Language (EAL)
Develop your English language skills in preparation for university studies. Apply directly through MacEwan.ca/EAL Admission requirements: minimum overall IELTS score of 4.0 (with no skill
below 3.5), or equivalent.
Foundation Program International
This program offers a combination of EAL, high school, and even some university-level courses. You will also take Foundations 101, which teaches you the important research, writing, presentation, and academic skills necessary for success in Canadian university. Apply through ApplyAlberta.Admission requirements: minimum overall IELTS score of 5.5 with no skill under 4.5, or equivalent.
