The IAEA Staff Association Ball is a unique breathtaking celebration, displaying a kaleidoscope of diversity in music & dance culture, national costumes, food and wine, all presented in the backdrop of the Hofburg

Imperial Palace, the traditional home of the Viennese Ball culture.

GREENING THE BALL INITIATIVE

The 2018 Ball has been certified as a Green Event by the Austrian Eco-Label “Umweltzeichen” from the Federal Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism.

MOZULUART & AMBASSADE STRING QUARTET (Austria/Zimbabwe)

MoZuluart is a project founded by Roland Guggenbichler (Austria), Vusa Mkhaya Ndlovu (Zimbabwe), Blessings Nqo Nkomo (Zimbabwe), Ramadu (Zimbabwe). The project is a fusion of traditional Zulu music with classical music

based mainly on Mozart compositions hence the name MoZuluArt. "We try to fuse these two music styles in a way that leaves room to the original song and style and not absorb a lot from it so that it stays with it´s authenticity".

MEGAN KAHTS & BONGIWE NAKANI (South Africa)

Megan Kahts is a South African soprano from Johannesburg, who began her musical education and career as a young child. Ms Kahts holds two masters degrees passed with distinction from the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She has won prizes in various international singing competitions and has sung the

roles of Cleopatra, Susanna, Despina, Gretel and others on international stages. Recently she has sung for Teatro Barocco and the Neue Oper Wien.

Mezzo soprano Bongiwe Nakani was born in Cape Town. She studied at the South African College of Music and – already during her studies – won the second prize in the Shock Foundation singing competition. In 2015, Bongiwe Nakani was awardee at the renowned Neue Stimmen competition. As of the season 2016/2017 Bongiwe Nakani is

ensemble member of the Wiener Staatsoper.
