1. In order to receive a full refund for any registration, YOU must cancel the reservation at least two (2) weeks prior to the workshop date.

SCOUTS BSA MERIT BADGE WORKSHOPS

CHEMISTRY MERIT BADGE*$75 / ScoutPut on your safety goggles and gloves because this Merit Badge is about to get explosive, and maybe even a little tasty! Scouts will perform experiments to uncover the secrets behind ionization, caramelization, chemical and physical reactions, and much more!

Scouts will be cooking and eating small amounts of onion. Please let us know of any allergies and dietary restrictions at the time of registration.

ELECTRONICS MERIT BADGE*$75 / Scout Put electricity to work while earning your Electronics Merit Badge! Discover how to control electricity through circuitry, master the art of soldering, and learn how to read a schematic diagram in this hands-on workshop. Explore electronic components like switches, resistors, transformers, and capacitors as you examine how circuitry is used in our modern world!

GAME DESIGN MERIT BADGE*$75 / ScoutWhat makes a computer game fun? Explore how game mechanics and rules set the tone for an entertaining experience. Change the objectives in the game and design your own level as you put all your skills and knowledge to work creating a customized computer game. This Merit Badge is advanced; advanced computer skills are required as creating a successful game is not easy, but can be very rewarding!

SAT April 4 10am-5pm

ROBOTICS MERIT BADGE*$65 / ScoutScouts will design, build, program, and test a robot using LEGO® Mindstorms® EV3s. Scouts will also visit Discovery World’s Rockwell Automation exhibit and learn about human-robot interface, robotic mobility, and robotic sensors. The day will end with Scouts completing Discovery World’s challenge course.

WOLF SCOUT ELECTIVE ADVENTURES

WOLF: MOTOR AWAY$19/Cub Scout In this hands-on workshop, Scouts will put their knowledge of movement into overdrive! Design soaring paper airplanes, sail seaworthy boats, construct a car that moves on its own, and learn about the science and technology behind these fun projects.

Become Forensic Scientists and track down all the clues to solve a mystery at Discovery World! Bear Scouts will use chromatography, microscopes, and even fingerprint analysis to figure out who committed the crime.
