Scouts of all ages and their families can come to explore Discovery World between 10am-5pm, with special themed activities beginning at 12pm. After spending the afternoon at Discovery World, Scouts can head to the Admiral’s home location, the UW Milwaukee Panther Arena, to watch them take on the Manitoba Moose.

Become the chemist behind a series of exciting experiments and watch Dr. Discovero perform mystifying demonstrations. After a fun-filled evening of mixing, pouring, and stirring, spend the night at the museum and wake up on the shores of Lake Michigan.

$45/SCOUT AND $22/CHAPERONE*Each child must attend with an adult. Adults may accompany multiple children. There will be separate male/female sleeping areas. Please plan to provide supervision at all times.

*Cost includes admission to Discovery World, all program supplies and lab activities, fun patch, a snack on Friday, and a small breakfast on Saturday.

Refund:

1. In order to receive a full refund for any registration, YOU must cancel the reservation at least two (2) weeks prior to the workshop date.

2. Cancellations received less than two (2) weeks and more than one (1) week before the workshop start date will receive a 50% refund.

3. Cancellations received less than one (1) week from the workshop start date will receive no refund.

Rescheduling:

If you wish to reschedule your workshop reservation, YOU must notify the Reservations Department at 414-765-8625 at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of your scheduled workshop. Rescheduling requests received after the two (2) week window will not be accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: A workshop can be canceled by Discovery World if it does not meet the minimum attendance threshold. In the event of a cancellation, you will be notified at least seven (7) days before the workshop start date and offered an alternative class or refund.

How to register for a Workshop:

2. Select Cub Scouts or Scouts BSA Workshops; please note the date/time.

3. Include full name(s) and troop number(s).

4. Full payment is due at time of registration. Early registration is encouraged.

5. Registration closes 24-hours before the scheduled start time of the workshop.

Discovery World admission is included in the price of a Scout Workshop for each participant the day of the workshop, during regular museum hours only.

Cub Scouts or Scouts BSA family members are welcome to explore Discovery World the day of their workshop (during museum hours) at a reduced rate of $14/adult and $10/child. Please see Admissions and mention the discount code SCT01 to receive this discount and your wristbands.

Welcome to another Scouting year with Discovery World! We are excited to offer Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Elective Adventures, as well as our most popular Scouts BSA Merit Badge Workshops. In addition to these workshops, we will continue to offer our Satellite program of select Scout Workshops that come to you!

Punch CardS!For every two hours spent in a Scout workshop at Discovery World, you will receive one punch on your Punch Card. Gather 10 punches and redeem your card for $10 OFF your next Scout workshop. Punches can only be collected and redeemed for the Boy Scout whose names appears on the card. Cards must be redeemed at Discovery World prior to booking your workshop. You may drop off or mail your Punch Cards to Discovery World ATTN: Education Dept.

Punch cards CANNOT be redeemed for Satellite Programs or Sleepovers.

World comes to you! You provide the space, and we provide

the expert, materials, and experiments to make the most

out of your next meeting. A minimum of ten (10) Scouts

is required, a working space for each Scout (tables and

chairs), and one chaperone for every ten (10) participants.

Discovery World will bring all of the necessary supplies. To

book your experience select one of the listed workshops

and call 414.765.8767 at least three (3) weeks in advance.

The Discovery World Scout Team will travel within a 30-mile radius of Discovery World, mileage fees apply at $.50 per mile. An extra distance fee of $20 will be added for any distance 31-45 miles from Discovery World, in addition to the $.50 per mile.

can provide any of our workshops to Scouts

held right here at Discovery World – ten (10) Scout

minimum is required. One chaperone is needed

for every ten (10) Scouts. All Private Boy Scout

Workshops are an additional $1 per Scout from

our listed workshop prices (subject to availability).

CHEMISTRY MERIT BADGE*$75 / ScoutPut on your safety goggles and gloves because this Merit Badge is about to get explosive, and maybe even a little tasty! Scouts will perform experiments to uncover the secrets behind ionization, caramelization, chemical and physical reactions, and much more!

Scouts will be cooking and eating small amounts of onion. Please let us know of any allergies and dietary restrictions at the time of registration.

ELECTRONICS MERIT BADGE*$75 / Scout Put electricity to work while earning your Electronics Merit Badge! Discover how to control electricity through circuitry, master the art of soldering, and learn how to read a schematic diagram in this hands-on workshop. Explore electronic components like switches, resistors, transformers, and capacitors as you examine how circuitry is used in our modern world!

GAME DESIGN MERIT BADGE*$75 / ScoutWhat makes a computer game fun? Explore how game mechanics and rules set the tone for an entertaining experience. Change the objectives in the game and design your own level as you put all your skills and knowledge to work creating a customized computer game. This Merit Badge is advanced; advanced computer skills are required as creating a successful game is not easy, but can be very rewarding!

ROBOTICS MERIT BADGE*$65 / ScoutScouts will design, build, program, and test a robot using LEGO® Mindstorms® EV3s. Scouts will also visit Discovery World’s Rockwell Automation exhibit and learn about human-robot interface, robotic mobility, and robotic sensors. The day will end with Scouts completing Discovery World’s challenge course.

WOLF: MOTOR AWAY$19/Cub Scout In this hands-on workshop, Scouts will put their knowledge of movement into overdrive! Design soaring paper airplanes, sail seaworthy boats, construct a car that moves on its own, and learn about the science and technology behind these fun projects.

Become Forensic Scientists and track down all the clues to solve a mystery at Discovery World! Bear Scouts will use chromatography, microscopes, and even fingerprint analysis to figure out who committed the crime.
