Louis Agassiz Elementary School is a 3-story w/basement, 43,074 square foot brick school building located in an urban area. The existing facility does not use modular buildings.The structure of the overall facility is bearing CMU wall with brick veneer type of construction and CMU construction in the interior. The floor system is concrete deck. The roof is abuilt-up system. Installation of roof is unknown. Most of the classrooms are not under sized to meet with the current standards established by the State of Ohio. The overallbuilding is not compliant with ADA accessibility requirements. A motion detection security system exists in the school. The building does have an automatic fire alarm system butno sprinkler system. The ventilation system of the building is inadequate to meet the needs of the users. The school is located on a 3.05-acre site adjacent to a residential area.The property (and playgrounds/play areas) is fenced for security. Access on to the site is unrestricted. Description: The existing system for the overall facility is a natural gas fired, low pressure steam system, installed in 1929 and is in poor condition. The systemdoes not provide the required CFM as per OBBC Mechanical code standards. The system temperature controls are pneumatic installed in 1929and are in poor condition.
