February 14, 2008

Dear Leadership 100 Members,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, welcome to our 17th Annual Leadership 100 Conference. We have a great deal to celebrate this year with record increases in membership, contributions, assets and grants. We are especially pleased to honor Theodore P. Angelopoulos and Ambassador Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, two of our most prominent members, with the Leadership 100 Award for Excellence. Together they created the phenomenal success of the Athens 2004 Olympics, which showed the world a new and prosperous Greece.

We extend a special welcome this year to Jane Seymour, the award winning actress and author, who will speak at a special program on Saturday morning, February 16 on her new autobiography, Remarkable Changes: Turning Life’s Challenges into Opportunities.

The program also includes Congressman Michael Bilirakis, who will open the Conference on Thursday, February 14 with an address on Advocating Hellenic Issues in the U.S. Congress and Ambassador Loucas Tsilas, Executive Director of the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefi t Foundation (USA), who will address a luncheon the same day on The Importance of Hellenism Today.

The Forum on Hellenism, titled Presenting Greek Art in America, is scheduled for Friday, February 15 and will feature Christine Kondoleon of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and Kenneth Dean Shapiro Lapatin of The J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles.

As always, our Spiritual Leader, His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America, will lead a Bible Study in addition to a lecture on a topic of importance to all Orthodox Christians.

We extend a special greeting to new and fulfi lled members, whose names you will fi nd in the following pages, and to new Leadership 100 Partners, whose names are noted with an asterisk.

As we move towards commemoration of our 25th Anniversary year in 2009, we are mindful of our many blessings, challenges and opportunities. Therefore, we owe special thanks to those members who have caught the spirit of our efforts and responded, contributing $25,000 to our 25th Anniversary Fund Appeal. They are acknowledged in these pages.

We wish each of you an enjoyable Conference as we gather to celebrate our achievements, advance our goals and share the values and ideals we hold dear.

Margo and I welcome this time to be with you in Palm Desert.

Faithfully,

George D. Behrakis

Chairman
