The plans listed in this guide are dependent on the sta-tus of the global pandemic. We are hopeful to bring back our fun and adventurous program that we are known for, yet we are fully prepared to adapt, improve and overcome whatever obstacles we encounter. SUMMER 2021 weeks & ThemeWeek 1 (June 14–18) – “Tropical Island”Land ho! Camp has somehow become stranded on a tropical island! Don’t worry though,we’ll be having so much fun, there’s no need to signal for an S.O.S.!

Week 2 (June 21–25) – “Great Safari”Jump in your jeep; hang on for a wild ride! This week sends campers deep intoa jungle filled with lions, tigers and…parrots? Get ready for a jungle full of fun!

Week 3 (June 28– July 2) – “USA Week”Get out your red, white, & blue and come celebrate America’s birthday with us! We’ll haveawesome patriotic activities including a 4th of July parade around camp! USA! USA! USA!

Week 4 (July 5–9) – “World Olympics”During the week where we celebrate our nation’s independence, we also celebrate ourmulticultural community at Camp with some fun games and a little competitive spirit. Laceup your sneakers and get ready to go for the gold!

Week 5 (July 12–16) – “Superhero”It’s a bird! No, it’s a plane! No, it’s Camp Sonshine! Get ready to protect the citizens ofCampSonshineville from evildoers. Capes and spandex are optional!

Week 6 (July 19–23) – “Winter Wonderland”If the heat is bringing you down, come cool off with us this week. An unexpected blizzardhas hit Camp. With plenty of snow and ice, we’ll party–winter style!

Week 7 (July 26–30) –“Crazy Carnival”We’re pulling out the Big Top this week! Come enjoy the glitz, glamour and awe of thecircus at Camp! Practice to be a trapeze artist on our ropes courses, an animal tamer atdrama, or just sit back and watch with some popcorn!

Week 8 (August 2–6) – “Wild, Wild West”Howdy partner! Grab your cowboy hat, saddle up and get ready to head out on afantastic adventure through the great frontier.

Week 9 (August 9–13) –“Lights, Camera, Action!”For one week, we’re turning Silver Spring into Hollywood! Grab your tuxedo or gown and getready to walk the red carpet like a movie star!

Week 10 (August 16–20) – “Outer Space”3…2…1…blast off! Let’s travel around the Milky Way, past Jupiter, and through a black holeexploring the mysteries of outer space! Don’t forget your space suit!

Week 11 (August 23–27) - “Wacky Tacky“What better way to end the Summer than a week with additional Field Trips & wacky tackyfun! Campers will get the opportunity to enjoy half & full day trips in every program as well asparticipate in crazy sock day, backwards day & more!

EXTENDED CAREAvailable at all camp locations. Our Extended Care service gives parents the option of early morning dropoff (SS/GT/Bethel: 7:00-8:30 AM; Ellicott City: 7:00-8:05AM) and/or late afternoon pickup (SS/GT/Bethel: 4:00-6:30 PM; Ellicott City: 4:20-6:30 PM).

TRANSPORTATIONCamp Sonshine offers bus pick-up & drop-off services to and from our Silver Spring Location. The following fees covers transportation for the entire week. Note: the cost is the same whether you use this service everyday or irregularly.

LATESTAYS & OVERNIGHTERSCamp Sonshine provides Campers wtih several opportunities throughout the summer weeks to experience camp at night! These events are specific to location/program and are limited based on your selection.

LATESTAYA Latestay is a chance for PK-2nd Grade Campers to experience the thrill of being a “big kid” by staying on our campgrounds until 8pm! In addition to eating camp food, campers get to partic-ipate in fun-filled activities such as a HAY RIDE and S’MORE MAKING!

Available Weeks (Thursdays) : 2, 4, 6, & 8

Cost : $25 (per latestay)

ADVENTURE OVERNIGHTER (3RD & 4TH)Our legendary ADVENTURE Overnighters1 (Friday nights through 8:00AM Saturday morning) are filled with unforgettable experiences such as:

• Elaborate themed activities that continue into the night (e.g. group field games, crazy skits, energizing music, wet and messy adventures, and more!)• Roasting s’mores to perfection• Bonding with fellow campers around a crackling fire

Cost : $40 (per overnighter)

HIGH ADVENTURE OVERNIGHTER (5TH–6TH)Our spectacular HIGH ADVENTURE Overnighters (Friday night through 8:00AM Saturday morning) allow campers to experience an unforgettable extended-day field trip on Friday plus night activities such as:

• The Golden Owl game (similar to sardines)• Extended group times• Late night team games

TEEN ADVENTURE OVERNIGHTER (7TH–9TH)Our fun-filled TEEN ADVENTURE Overnighters (Thursday through Friday at 10:00PM) allow our teenage campers to experience unforgettable extended-day field trips on Thursday and on Friday. This year’s fields trips plans include

eCheck payment is exclusively accepted through the CampMinder database and Camp InTouch application. Families will be notified via email for successful and un-successful payments.

Credit Card payment is accepted through the CampMinder database and Camp In-Touch application. Families will be notified via email for successful and unsuccessful payments. Please note that Camp Son-shine is charged at 3% processing fee for all credit card transactions.

Sickness/SchoolExtentions

Absensce of more than two consec-utive days to illness or school being extended

Camp will credit for the days missed when requested in writing.

Waiting ListApplicable to only children on the wait list. Does not apply to enrolled siblings.

Payment will not be processed for camp-ers who are unable to enroll or are with-drawn without enrollment from the waiting list. Cancellation of any additional camp-ers based on wait list outcomes must be requested in writing (the above cancella-tion policies will apply).

Late FeesLate penalities will apply to registra-tions completed on or after May 15th.

The multi-week discount will not be grant-ed to registrations made on or after May 15th.

Discounts

Discounts can only be applied to camp tuition. There is no discount for conve-nience options or the $45 application fee.

ReturnedChecks

A fee will be charged for all returned checks.

There is a $35 fee charged for returned checks.

Deposits

A $20 per week non-refundable de-post, as well as th $45 application fee per child is required with each ad-vanced or regular rate application at time of registration. The deposit is ap-plied toward the full balance; it is not a separate or additional fee.

Your deposit give you freedom and flexibil-ity to make payments at your convenience until our payment deadline of May 15th or until your balance is paid in full.

Spring BreakBecause of limited availability, fees for Spring Break must be paid in fullupon registration.

The following fees will be applied for Spring Break Camp cancellations: $5/day cancelled or $20/entire week cancellation. NOTE: No refunds for cancellations wil be made after February 24th.

A fun and exciting program has been designed for our EXPLORER campers1. Campers are taught social, emotional, intellectual, physical & creative skills. Our campers get to enjoy a safe and active outdoor program in which they encounter new and unforgettable adventures.

SPRING BREAK CAMP(March 29TH – April 2nd)

Jump on board with our exciting, fun-packed, five (5) one-day events from 9 AM to 4:15 PM (we provide Extended Care and Transportation convenience options for an additional fee). You can sign up for any combination and any number of days. No matter which day(s) your child attends, you can be sure that they’ll receive the kind of high-quality program you’ve come to expect from Camp Sonshine. Eager for a full week of camp memories? We offer special prices if you register for all five days!

Note: There is limited space, so please register early! If any program becomes full, a waiting list will be maintained thereafter. In the middle of March, registered families will be sent an email explaining important details.

GRADES K-4Activities may include go-karts, archery, assembly, jump zone, bowling,

park trips and so much more!

GRADES 5-6Activities may include go-karts, archery, and each day will include trips

such as bowling, laser tag and more.

GRADES 7-9Activities may include day trip excursions/field trips.

Here are a few field trips we’ve had in the past: paintball, Sky Zone, Downtown Annapolis, Players Amusement Center and many more.
