Dear colleagues and friends,
Since several years, Indonesia organizes an excellent international congress with many promi-
nent speakers. Anesthesia in Indonesia knows a strong development which will be more and more
important because the number of anesthesiologists was initially very weak. To-day, thanks to the tremen-
dous efforts of dynamic leaders such as Susilo Chandra, and many other colleagues, anesthesia and
intensive care know an astonishing growth. I was an observer of this development and involved within
some initiatives such as the FEEA-CEEA courses and the European Diploma of Anesthesiology, EDA.
These initiatives are the result of an enthusiastic rush involving all the components of the Indonesian
Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive therapy through the whole country. With a representative of
Indonesia in the CEEA of the European Society of Anesthesiology and in the Council of the World Federa-
tion of Societies of Anesthesiologists, WFSA, the country plays an important role in accordance with its
dynamism.
On behalf of the WFSA, it is my pleasure to wish a great success to the Indoanesthesia 2015 and
a fruitful congress to all the participants.

Once again in 2015 we can enjoy important scientific meet-
ings in order to develop the science of anesthesia in Jakarta,
Indonesia.
Indoanesthesia a unique scientific anaesthesiology activities
because many well-known speakers from various countries are here.
The Indonesian Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy realize that this great event can be held
on a regular basis only because has been well-managed by Dr. Susilo Chandra and friends.
For that we express many thanks to Dr Susilo and all the organizers of Indonanesthesia 2015.
Welcome and thank you for the entire speakers both from Indonesia and from abroad. Please enjoy the
meeting as well as enjoy your stay in Indonesia here.
In the health care system change in Indonesia, professionalism of anesthesiologist is expected to
become the backbone of surgical services, intensive care, and better pain management.
Therefore, the event is sure to be very useful.
Enjoy!

To learn about continuous PNB technique
Perioperative Goal-Directed Therapy in Sepsis ( February 26th, 2015 )Background :Severe sepsis, a syndrome characterized by systemic inflammation and organs dysfunction in response to infection, is a major healthcare throughout the world. An anesthesiologist has an important role in multidiscipline sepsis management, starts from sepsis patients in general wards, management of patient’s transport for some imaging and laboratory supports, also the intraoperative management for an emergency surgery in OR. Antibiotics administration at the appropriate time plays an important step in the management of patients with severe sepsis that need some emergency surgeries in according to eliminate the infection source. Preoperative resuscitation, aims to optimalize vital organs perfusion, follow the International Guidelines of Sepsis and the recent evidences based on the appropriate fluid, vasopressors, and inotropics administration or even based on the individual need. “The initial hours” or “golden hours” plays as the key role in preperative sepsis. A rapid clinical assesment, resuscitation and surgical management focus on muldiciplinary team, and early effective antimi-crobial administration are the key components to increase the end results of therapy. The intraoperative anesthesia management in severe sepsis patients needs 1) careful induction and maintenance strategy, 2) optimalizing intravascular volume status and prevention of fluid overload, 3) avoiding the mechanical ventilation lung injury, 4) monitoring tissue perfusion using DO2 calculation or lactate measurement, renal and hematology function and also the electrolyte state continually. There will be a postoperative care overlap with the ICU management. These patients, due to ‘high risk’ definition, usually have need of many supports including Renal Replacement Therapy postoperatively. Understanding the pathophysiology combine with the experiences and skills in decision making are important in achievement of the best result. Therefor the Indoanesthesia in collaboration with Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Departement conduct the workshop on perioperative sepsis manage-ment for anesthesiologists in according to further understanding in perioperative sepsis and Guidelines of Surviving Sepsis Campaign 2012 and also practicing in skill station.
A. General Instructional Objectives : 1. Understanding world standards management of severe sepsis/septic shock , SSC 2012 Guidelines 2. Capable in defining, describing, and explaining important components in SSC 2012 Guidelines 3. Capable in applying de-escalation principles of antibiotics therapy in severe sepsis and septic shock patients 4. Capable in implementation of SSC 2012 Guidelines into perioperative management

Masterclass of Statistic in Anesthesia ( February 25th, 2015 )Educational Objectives :
1) General learning objectives This course provides a basic introduction to clinical trial, the conceptual and quantitative tools used to describe and interpret data in the conduct of anesthesia research for young researchers in the fields of anesthesiology. Participant learn how to select, calculate, and interpret appropriate statistics applicable to common data analysis situations related to direct anesthesia practice. The course provides participants with the opportunity to acquire personal computer skills calculate statistics and present results.
2) Specific learning objectives By the end of the course, the student should be able to: 1. Explain, calculate and interpret descriptive statistics including: basic terminology, scales notation, frequency distributions, measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion, and the normal distribution. 2. Explain, calculate, and interpret inferential statistics including probability, and hypothesis tests. 3. Identify and apply the correct statistical technique to the research question. 4. Understand that statistics are value neutral, but can be misused. 5. Use computer technology to compute descriptive and inferential statistics.
Participants pre- requisites :Young anaesthesiologists who may have little or some experience in the clinical research field and are clearly motivated in doing future clinical research.
Expected Outcome:Participant know how to select, calculate, and interpret appropriate statistics applicable to common data analysis situations related to direct anesthesia practice.
Certificate of Participations:Certificate of participation will be given after fully completion of this course
Winfocus ( February 25th - 26th, 2015 )Objectivity :It provides, promotes and coordinates quality assured ultrasound training programs, which maximized basic and advance competences in assessing and managing the critical patient in primary, emergencies and critical care medicines
