Friday 16 February.

19:00 Welcome dinner at Chumpae Restaurant in Loei town,

This will be standard OnOnOn style with the bill split at the end.

Saturday 17 February.

13:45Registration at the Loei Palace Hotel

14:45 Transfer by bus to the run start (about 40min).

A to B run with a long, a medium and a walker trail. The run will

end at the MT Hydroponics Farm.

Non-runners can go directly to the farm if they have a car or

come on the bus for transport.

After the run the circle and the OnOnOn will be at the

MT Hydroponics Farm.

Sunday 18 February.

Pick up at the hotel 10:00 am.

20 min transfer to Huay Krathing Reservoir.

Runstart 10:30.

If you fly out on Sunday afternoon make sure that you pack your

bags, check out and bring your bags with you to the run. At 14:15

there will be transport from the lake to the airport, on time to

make both the afternoon Nok air and Air Asia flights. All others

can stay as long as we like before getting our transport back to

the hotel.

Total cost for the weekend

Saturday normal run fee of Baht 300 for the weekly payers and

visitors plus a 400 Baht surcharge. This includes transport, food,

beer and wine. Sunday no run fee but a 400 Baht charge for

transport, food, beer, wine and raft rental.

Any balances left over will be donated to the BH3 hash cash

How to get to Loei:

By Plane:

There are 4 return flights per day from

Don Muang to Loei airport and back.

2 flights by Nok Air and 2 flights by

AirAsia.

By Car:

Distance from Bangkok 540km. Driv-

ing time about 6.5 hrs .

Quickest route from Bangkok is via

Petchabun – Pu Rua.

Where to stay:

We have 20 rooms at the Loei Palace

hotel in Loei City with the option to

reserve more if needed. Rate is Baht

1,200 for a double room including

breakfast. Airport transfer is 150 Baht

pp or 500 baht for a minibus. The hotel

is about 25 km from the run site.

There are quite a few more hotels,

some as cheap as Baht 600 and up to

Baht 4,000 per night. Look at book-

Expect plantations, fields and jungle. Loei is one of the most sparsely populated province in Thailand and

it shows.

After the run the circle and the OnOnOn will be at the MT Hydroponics Farm.

Upon return to Loei it will be possible to be dropped off at the Saloon Bar, the only farrang owned bar in

Loei. The bar is about a 10 –15 min walk from the Loei Palace hotel. I have arranged for samlors to

standby for those that do not want to walk back. Cost 50 Baht pp.

Friday 16 February.

19:00 Welcome dinner at Chumpae Restaurant in Loei town,

The restaurant is on the banks Kut Pong Lake and is a 7 minute walk from the Loei Palace Hotel.

Sunday 18 February.

Gentle hangover run near the reservoir hared by Malinee (Nibbles) followed by a lunch on a floating res-

taurant with food served by boat from shore. If you only want to join the lunch and forget about the run be

at the lake at midday. This is one of the most popular tourist spots in Loei but almost exclusively Thai. I

have not yet seen any foreigners there .

Important Notes

1. Do not forget to bring some warm clothing for the ononon.

The ononon is outside at the farm and Loei can be COLD!!!

2. Departure time from the hotel on Saturday has been changed from 15:00 to 14:45. We don’t

want people lost in the dark.

3. For those that want to stop at the Saloon Bar after the ononon there will be transport from the

bar to the hotel at 50Baht pp.

4. Please let me know if you will attend Friday’s Welcome Dinner so the restaurant will have

enough food and beer.

5. The cost had to be upped to a Baht 400 surcharge on Saturday and a total cost of Baht

400 on Sunday. If by any chance there is money left over it goes to Hash Cash.
