Completed Projects :
(i). AICTE Project: Received Fund (Rs. 5.0 lakh) from the AICTE in 1993 for Modernisation and
Removal of Obsolescence in the Fabric manufacture Laboratory as Project Investigator.
(ii). AICTE Project: Received Fund (Rs. 7.0 lakh) from the AICTE in 1996 for installation of
Yarn Splicer, Computer Aided Design Software and Laboratory model Knitting Machine as well
as carrying out research on yarn splicing and knitting as Project Investigator.

(iii).UNDP-GOI Project: As Team member of the UNDP-GOI Project received from the Ministry
of Textiles, GOI, I was deeply involved with training of artisans (handloom weavers & handicraft
manufacturers) all over the country in one hand and development of fabric manufacture laboratory
of the Department on the other. The total project Fund received was Rs.5.00 crore for the period
1993 to 1998.
(iv). UNDP - CCF1 Project: As Team member of the UNDP-CCF1 Project received from the
Ministry of Textiles, GOI, I was very much engaged in training of Managers, Supervisors and
Technicians of the Jute Mills in all over India. The total project Fund received was about Rs. 2.50
crore for the period from 2000 to 2004.
(v). IJSG-CFC Project: I am involved with the on-going International Project – “Development
and Application of Potentially Important Jute Geo-Textile” being implemented in India and
Bangladesh. The project fund has been received from the Common Commodity Fund, Neitherland
for the period 2010-2014. Our share as Project Facilitator is about Rs. 50.0 lakh out of total Project
Cost of Rs. 15.0 crore.
(vi). ISDS Project : As a Team Member, I am very much involved with the on-going “Integrated
Skill Development Scheme Project” received from the Ministry of Textiles, GOI since the
preparation of project report . The project fund of Rs. 19.69 crore has been received from Ministry
of Textiles, GOI for the period 2011-2014.
(vii). Infrastructure Development of Institute of Jute Technology Scheme Project: As Project
Investigator, I had looked after and implemented the “Infrastructure Development of Institute of
Jute Technology Scheme” Project Fund of Rs. 8.0 Crore (Rupees eight crore only) from the
National Jute Board, Ministry of Textiles, GOI for the period 2010-13.
Current Projects :
(i) Extraction and Characterisation of Himalayan Giant Nettle Fibre for Textile Use,
Approved and Sanctioned Rs. 5.0 lakh in December, 2014 by the National Jute Board, jointly with
Prof. S. K. Sett and Dr. A. Mukherjee
(ii) Developments of textile products out of Himalayan Nettle, Approved for Rs. 55.0 lakh by
the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, in March, 2016, jointly with Prof. S. K. Sett and Dr. A.
Mukherjee

studying the developments in nonwoven machinery as well as speciality nonwoven
products out of variety of fibres.
