Converting a CDF order to a HUD order
Open the CDF based order. In the order ribbon select the option to Rename Order.
Rename the order to be same order number as present and add some form of
identification that will make the order number unique. Select OK.
The handout will assist in the basic generic process of converting anCDF-based order to a HUD-based order. Many of the functions that are outlined in this handout
are permission based functions.

Save and close the order.
Create a New Order.
Change the Order number to the same number as the previous CDF based order number.
Select the HUD-1 radio button and then select the search icon.

A. Select the Browse Icon in the template area (Note: If there is already a template
shown there highligh it and hit the - icon to remove it.
The order search window will appear, enter the new number (that you renamed
the CDF based order). Check off the Orders check box and select Search.
Highlight the CDF-based order and select OK.

Verify that the new order number and previuos order numbers are correct, that the HUD-
1 radio button is selected and Select OK to open the new order.
The new HUD-based order will be created with all data not directly entered onto a CDF
line from the old CDF-based order. (NOTE: Any Lines that had a CDF line associated
with it will now need to be sent to a HUD-1 line. You may see Errors & Warnings indicating
this. Make all adjustments as needed.)
Open up the Old CDF-based order again. (the one you renamed)
Go to the Register.

If there are any funds in the register, transfer the funds to the new order’s register by
utilizing the Reassign Transaction feature under Actions in the transactions bar, or
utilize ledger to ledger transfer. (see handout on ledger transfers).
Enter the ledger ID (new HUD based file no) in the Reassign to ledger: field or search
for the ledger ID in the Ledger ID: field. Select Next.
Enter a reason for the adjustment. and select Next.

Select the Payor code: and the Line number for the Earnest Money. Select Next.
A prompt will indicate that the existing funds will be removed from the CDF. Select OK.

Once the funds have been transferred select Finish.
In the old HUD based Order:
Go to the tasks and mark any non-completed tasks as N/A. (These same tasks are now
in the new HUD-based order)

Go to the Status Screen.
Mark the Order Status as Duplicate or Canceled, based on company management
direction.
Exit the Old CDF-based order.
