PROFILE/CAPABILITY PROFILE
The Municipality of Bayombong is a first class municipality and the capital
town of the province of Nueva Vizcaya. It is situated in the eastern part of this
province, lying the Sierra Madre mountain ranges and Cordillera mountain ranges
in the western part. Bayombong Fire Station is located at the juncture of the
Colocol Creek and Magat River of Bayombong Proper particularly at LB Perez St.,
Brgy. Don Mariano Marcos of this municipality. The lot of Bayombong Fire Station
was formerly owned by the LGU of Bayombong and it was donated to the Bureau
of Fire Protection on 1990 with a land area of 150 square meters. The proposed
building was funded by the BFP NHQ and constructed a two storey with roof deck
building that was completed and activated on October 4, 1994 as Fire Station. At
present, the donated land is subject for land titling.
Bayombong Fire Station is composed of 1 Officer as OIC-Municipal Fire
Marshal and 11 Non-Commissioned Officers who are assigned in different sections
to pursue and perform the objectives and functions of the Bureau as follows with
their rank, name and highest training; 1.) INSP ERWIN A DACUMOS (OCC), 2.) SFO2
Joel A Pua (FPSC), 3.) SFO2 Cornel V Bermudez (FAIIC), 4.) SFO2 Joey G Grospe
(FAIIC), 5.) SFO1 Bonnie C Mangili (FAIIC), 6.) FO3 Antonio B Tomas Jr (FBRC), 7.)
FO2 Neal Nino C Garingan (FBRC), 8.) FO2 Karra Mae C Crisostomo (FBRC), 9.) FO2
Rommel Francis B Aggasid (FBRC), 10.) FO1 Jeffrey C Lumauig (FBRC), 11.) FO1 John
Roman C Cachero (FBRC) and 12.) FO1 Kristine Irish R Villareal (FBRC).
At present, this station have 4 fire trucks with firefighting gears and
equipment and to include their present status as follows; 1.) Isuzu Morita Fire Truck
was acquired on December 1979, a government property during the time of the
PC-INP with a water tank capacity of 1,000 gallons which is currently under-repair,
2.) Isuzu Water Truck which is LGU owned and manned by the personnel of
Bayombong Fire Station during the administration of former Mayor Ramon A.
Cabauatan Jr. on July 2013 up to the present administration of Mayor Ralph C.
Lantion. The Water Truck has a water tank capacity of 500 gallons and has a status
of serviceable condition, 3.) Jiangte Fire Truck was acquired on February 2016,
owned by the BFP with water tank capacity of 1,000 gallons and has a status of
serviceable condition and 4.) Rosenbauer Fire Truck was acquired on June 2018,
owned by the BFP with a water tank capacity of 1,000 gallons and has a status of
serviceable condition.
Bayombong Fire Station has no issued, acquired or donated
ambulance/rescue transport vehicle by BFP NHQ, PGU, LGU and other government
agencies or private sectors. However, the LGU of Bayombong particularly the
MDRRMO have 4 ambulances and 1 rescue transport vehicle with trained rescue
personnel. These vehicles of LGU are in serviceable condition and has a 24 hours
operation for any eventualities that may transpire with the assistance of
Bayombong Fire Station personnel.
The Emergency Medical and Rescue Services materials of this station is
equipped with 3 units of SCBA, 1 unit of battery operated spreader/cutter, 1 unit
chain saw, 4 units of vault cutter and 6 units of fire axe. These rescue materials was
issued by the BFP with a status of serviceable condition for rescue/retrieval
operations.
FO3 Antonio B Tomas Jr, BFP member of this station undergone special
training in Rescue/Retrieval Operations particularly the SCBA Manipulation and
High Angle Rescue for 3 days training on December 14-16, 2018, conducted by the
PDRRMO of Nueva Vizcaya held at Lower Magat Eco-Tourism Park, Diadi, Nueva
Vizcaya.
The Fire Safety Inspectors of this station inspected 1,702
establishments as of CY 2018 and expected to increase the inspection for CY 2019.
Nowadays, this station have 4 certified Fire Safety Inspectors with a
training/schooling of Fire Arson Investigation and Inspection Course (FAIIC) and
strictly implementing the provisions of the Fire Code of the Philippines of 2008 (RA
9514) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations within the area of responsibility.
Bayombong is subdivided into 25 Barangays with a population of 61,512 as of 2015
census. In regards with the ratio of 1 fire truck is to 10,000 population, this station
has 7 licensed drivers/pump operators and 5 crews to perform the objectives and
functions of the Bureau.
The all year round activities of this station including the rescue related
operations were implemented effectively and efficiently through the effort of
personnel of this station headed by the Municipal Fire Marshal, INSP ERWIN A
DACUMOS and with the active support of the community and the LGU of
Bayombong.

Personnel of this station conducts Fire and Earthquake drill to schools and different
establishments in this municipality
2. Lectures
Personnel of this station conducts lecture on Fire Safety, Basic Firefighting and Emergency
Medical Services lectures to PLT criminology interns, visiting Pre-school pupils and other
requesting private establishments.

Personnel of this station posts and distributes fire safety information materials in different
barangays and conspicuous places of this municipality
Information Drive
a. Coordination with the Local TV Network
SFO2 Bermudez CV, Chief Operations Branch, coordinates with the CATV staff for information
dissemination of fire safety reminders.
b. Fire Prevention Info. Campaign
Headed by FINSP ERWIN A DACUMOS, personnel of this station disseminates Fire Safety
Information to the constituents of this municipality.

Personnel of this station conducts Fire Truck Visibility and Public Address during Fire Prevention
Month and OPLAN PAALALA (Iwas Paputok)
5. Fire Safety Inspections
Personnel of this station conducts Fire Safety Inspections to business establishments of this
municipality.
Other Activities
1. Fire Hydrant Testing
FINSP ERWIN A DACUMOS and FO2 Aggasid RFB conducts testing of water hydrants of this
municipality.
2. Training of Fire Brigades
Personnel of this station conducts lecture and demonstration on Basic Firefighting to members of
Barangay Fire Brigade.
3. Fire Code Fees Collection 2019
As a part of Fire Code Revenue Month, personnel of this station joins the Business One Stop
Shop established by the Bayombong LGU
