Transpower Electric was established in the year 1980 byC. Shashidhar. Before venturing to electrical contracting business, he workedfor M/s. Voltas Limited, electrical division, for their work site at 220kV / 33kVmaster unit substation at Kudremukh Iron Ore project. As a trainee heunderwent extensive training in erection, installation, testing and commissioningof HV, EHV equipments such as power transformers. MOCBs, isolators,control and relay panels etc., he was involved in start-up and commissioningof 20 Nos. of 20 MVA, 33/6.6kV plant transformer substations.

After a tough & rugged field experience at Kudremukh work site hehad to leave the organization due to his transfer to northeast frontier of thecountry. He undertook a job at reputed electrical consultancy firm based inBangalore engaged in power system design & project management. Whileworking as an Electrical Engineer, he had the exposure to designing oflighting, power, earthing system associated with projects such as fatty acidplants, machine shop, textile machinery, pharmaceutical research laboratory,large residential colonies and group housing electrification which also includedpreparation of equipment specifications, installation specifications, Bill ofQuantities and also start up and commissioning related works.

The result of the rich field experience and design exposure reinforcedthe confidence to undertake varieties of contract works. The major works thatwere carried out to the corporate clients includes various environment suchas heavy, medium and small industries, Five Star hotels, commercialinstitutions, commercial complexes, laboratories, research centers, softwaretech park and computer centers and lastly large group housing andresidential colonies apart from Annual Maintenance Contracts.

In fact since 2½ decade, the firm hasdone almost every type of electrical installation which was possible onaccount of its consistency, hard work, team spirit, dedication, sincerity withhonest attitude to its customers.
