ProficyChangeManagementprovidesaversioncontrolsystemthatmaintainsahistoryofchangesatboththeprojectandcomponentlevel.Aschangesaremadetocomponents,andcheckedin,newversionsareautomaticallycreated.Thisversionhis-toryprovidestraceability,trackingwhomadechangesandwhen,aswellastheabilitytorevertbacktopreviousversionsifneeded,ensuringthatyoucanrecoverfrominadver-tentorincorrectchangesquicklyandeasily.

Thesystemmaintainstheconceptofamas-terversionontheserver–theversionofthefilesthatshouldberunningonthemasternode.Usingthedifferencefunction,youcancomparethenodefilestothemasterfilesanddetermineifthereareanychanges.Youcanalsocompareanytwoversionsofthefilestodeterminewhatchangeswerebetweenthem.
