Professions inmy family
My dad andmy mom are Veterinarians.
Veterinary medicine is the branch of science that deals with the
prevention,diagnosis andtreatment ofdisease, disorder andinjury
inanimals.
My parents, before study veterinary, were thinking about other
professions orsimply didn't know what to do with their lives. My
dad, who is a very goodveterinary surgeon, became a vet against my
grandfather will, because his dogwasrun overwhen he wasyoung.
Onthe other side, my mom,whowantedtobe a human doctor,
realizedthat shehad a very strong affinity for animals. Now she is
working in the laboratory ofhistology inthe UV.
Bothhave worked together tosave hundreds ofanimals alongtwenty
years. They are my best inspiration.
My maternal grandfather andmy cousin are lawyers.
Law is a discipline that provides tools to get people in their
daily relationships withothers are governed by laws that allow
society tofunction fairly andorderly.
My grandpa, whobecamein a lawyer aftermy mother andher sisters
finishedtheirstudies, wanted to study law because he loves to
defend the poor and helplesspeople, besideshe likedtoread a lot
ofbooks.
My cousin, who is still studying the career, loves her career
because she feelscapable ofdefending whoever whoneeds, including
herself. Ina first moment, she dreamed becoming indoctor butthe
destiny playedwith her and let her out of the list ofaccepted
forthat discipline. So, fornotlosing a year waiting without do
anything, she enrolled in the career of law. She told me ifshe had
theopportunity ofchanging something, she would do the same over
andover again.
My aunt is a pedagogue.
Pedagogy is the science and art of education. Its aims range
from the fulldevelopment ofthe human being toskills
acquisition.
My aunt, whowas thinking inbe a teacher since she waslittle,
always dreamedabouthelp people tolearn. She has taught college
students sinceshe graduatedofuniversity andreally loves her job.
Forbeing a good teacher, you must be a patient,tolerant,
enthusiastic, creative, responsible, modest person likemy aunt is.
Beyondall those characteristics, you need tolove the profession;
otherwiseyou would endbeing an embittered teacher andbad with the
students.
Me
All my life I said"I would like tobe a veterinary likemy
parents, I love the animalsand I want tohelp them", but fromone
moment toanother, the math startedtolike me. Then, I changedmy mind
andnow I want tobe a mechatronic engineer.
Mechatronics, whichis a design process that includes a
combination ofmechanicalengineering, electrical engineering,
telecommunications engineering, controlengineering and computer
engineering, is a multidisciplinary field ofengineering,that is
tosay, it rejects splitting engineering into separate
disciplines.
If I were an engineer, I would do the things more efficient
because I hatewasting time. I have worked with numbers my entire
life and I know I have the
