Chaplain Name: Debra Lowery Month / Year: December 2019
III. Activity Detail
Chaplain activities this month included ride-a-longs with two officers who recently completed field training with the goals of becoming better acquainted and sharing about the resources of the chap-lain program. Hilliard Police Department kindly invited me to its chaplain candidate orientation to answer ques-tions about police chaplaincy and to act as a resource for its new chaplains. NAPD has been serving as a support for Hilliard PD in the development of its chaplaincy program. As part of the Mid-Ohio CISM team, I served at a critical incident debriefing for personnel from a nearby police department and responding sheriff’s office.
