Foreword
I am multi-lingual 26 years old student with numerous experience, that seeks to be
significant part of your team with prospects of surpassing current goals set by building industry in terms of
sustainability, transparency, labor and end-user satisfaction.
For the last 2 years I have been concentrating on learning latest tools being used in this
sector. At Københavns Erhvervsakademi I became proficient user of the IT softwares: Revit, MS Project,
Sigma Estimates, BuildDesk, Be10, Lumion. I have been elected to be IT super-user and class representative.
I invite you to look through my portfolio, which will reflect my on-site experience and
theoretical knowledge. Hopefully this will strengthen our mutual interest.
On-site experience
Catamaran – self-sustainable boat from reclaimed materials
It took loads of sweat and sleepless nights, but it
all paid off once we were sailing Copenhagen waters.
Starting as an idea for a bunch of hippies, the
whole project shortly developed and broadened its vision
much over than just the construction part. With generous
EU and other funding over 1 mln. DKK, many community
activities took place. Hereof my experience, concerning
flat structure project organization, enhanced to the next
level.
Furthermore we got flattered by a number of
recognized institutions. Dansk Arkitektur Center
requested our boat to be present for modern
architecture exposition. We have been interviewed by
local and international TVs/Media. Pia Allerslev, then
Cultural and Recreational mayor of Copenhagen, said that
it is a very interesting project.

Renovation experience
For a few years, before starting my current education, I was working for my father’s
company, which was main contractor for commercial/residential renovation projects. My role was to do
most of the carpentry work, later on becoming a site manager, ensuring flawless execution of the project
on site.
Completed energy renovation project of an old warehouse.

Educational outcome
At KEA’s (Københavns Erhvervsakademi) “Architectural Technology and Construction Management”
program I am taught numerous
subjects including design,
production, management and law
aspects. We follow RIBA standard
stages, mainly from Concept to
Technical Design.
Besides main project, each
semester I receive separate few
weeks course on Facilities
Management.
1st semester – Single family house My main focus was the roof element: property
analysis, U-value calculation, technical design.

Standard construction – roof.

2nd semester – Row houses Throughout the project I learned how to develop
key junctions around partition wall. Later on I focused
on precast concrete elements.

3rd semester – Prefabricated modular housing This time I learned LEAN construction methods: efficient use of materials, successful factory layout, JOT
(Just On Time) management. Additionally I focused myself on floor elements. I made production drawings,
quantity takeoffs, as well labor-machine-material costs specifications for each floor type.

4th semester – Mixed use building
The project run from Concept to Technical Design stages and required to produce new building for water
treatment company, where ground floor will be used mainly by “dirty” on-site workers, while 1st floor will
be for the administrative employees. This taught me of challenges in combining industrial with commercial
purpose areas, where among others sanitary and indoor climate threats should be solved.
Throughout the project I was particularly interested in Glulam structures; Energy Frame calculation;
ventilation system design and prefab hollowcore concrete elements.

5th semester – Energy refurbishment
This semester’s goal is to refurbish my old school into student dorms. After the registration of the
existing building condition, we will be working on the project up until the Developed Design, proposing
economically reasonable energy renovation and major changes in services to suit modern days demand.
Currently I am midway through the semester, where I am responsible for BIM development, which is
very useful when working with all construction phases: existing, demolition and new.
Lersø Parkallé 2 refurbishment proposal incl. new prefab modules on the 2nd floor instead of unused attic.
