In the periods when the dishwasher is not used, the unique Standby system limits the operation of the tank and boiler heating elements guaranteeing a 70% energy saving compared to conventional dishwashers.

DHRHEAT RECOVERY

By means of the special Drain Heat Recovery (DHR) device, the wastewater heats the cold intake water increasing the temperature by about 20°C. Thanks to this and a series of technical solutions, the reduction in energy consumption is 40% greater than standard versions on the market.

RINSE CYCLE Consuming only 3 litres of water for each rinsing cycle, Smeg dishwashers provide the best balance between water saving and hygiene.

DOUBLE-INSULATED WALL

GLASS CYCLE This special function lowers the rinsing temperature and reduces the washing cycle time keeping your glassware as good as new, even after multiple washes.

SOFT START To prevent breaking or chipping more delicate items, the initial water jet is delivered at a lower pressure - Soft Start - and then is gradually increased to the normal washing force.

SANITISATION According to American NSF sanitisation standards, the special UltracleanPro function - patented - activates a special sanitisation cycle subjecting the dishes to a prolonged heat treatment to remove the bacterial build-up. The plate surface remains at 70°C for at least one minute, guaranteeing the best hygiene.

FLEXIBILITY SILENT OPERATION

TOP RESULTSThe position and inclination of the nozzles, as well as the speed of the rotating arms and the pressure of the water jets, are calibrated to maximise the results and enable the spraying of the dishes from all angles.

HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT EFFICIENCY

The Water Level Check (WLC) system ensures a steady flow of water and optimises pump operation. This keeps the water level in the tank under control, prevents cavitation and simultaneously ensures the most silent operation possible.

INTEGRATED FILTERING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM

The combined action of the three-stage filtering system - patent pending - and the drain pump enables the flow of dirty water to be separated and kept at the bottom of the tank until the end of the washing cycle when it is discharged. The infrared communications port allows the downloading of the operating data, the last 10 error messages and the updating of the control and self-diagnostics software via a computer. This operation is useful for improving and maintaining dishwasher performance.

SPECIFIC DETERGENTS AND RINSE AIDS

An impeccable washing result depends not only on having a dishwasher with excellent performance and the right water treatment system, but also on the choice of specific detergents and rinse aids that Smeg offers for the various types of water used.

SOFTENER REMOVES CALCIUM

AND MAGNESIUM

The Smeg water softener treats water by passing it through a bed of resins where calcium and magnesium salts are removed.

DEMINERALISER FILTERS ALL MINERAL SALTS

Ideal for preventing halos on cutlery and glassware, the demineraliser eliminates all of the mineral salts contained in the water by means of a mixed-bed resin column. An LED indicates when it is time to replace the column. This accessory, made of AISI 316L stainless steel, dispenses water at mains pressure and is equipped with a water conductivity meter.

SMEG OSMOSIS TREATMENT UNIT

ELIMINATES SALTS, ORGANIC SUBSTANCES AND BACTERIA FOR

OUTSTANDING HYGIENE AND SPARKLE

The osmosis treatment unit employs reverse osmosis to produce demineralised and purified water from which 99% of the salts, organic substances and bacteria have been eliminated. The osmosis treatment unit is equipped with flow and pressure control devices, a membrane flushing circuit and an electronic control panel with conductivity sensor that constantly monitors the water quality.

Using the osmosis or demineraliser prevents impurities from depositing on the surface of the dishes so that they no longer

need to be polished after drying.

The use of a mains water treatment system makes it possible to remove agents that compromise the washing result by causing halos on cutlery and glassware and leaving scale, thus lowering the efficiency of the heating elements and increasing electrical energy consumption. This purification system reduces detergent and rinse aid costs by up to 70%, since consumption of these agents depends largely on the hardness of the water.
