man door just after the first grate

more or less corresponding to the

end of the recuperation zone.

“Red River”

In the right hand side of the cooler

(bottom of picture) some big lumps

of clinker can be observed. The

combination of lumps and fine

clinker is a nightmare as big lumps

leaves you with a high clinker

temperature, the red river are

mechanical damaging and both

destroy the heat efficiency.

The location was a cement plant in

Canada, before the first grate was

converted to CFG. Now the cooler

has been converted by CPAG
